4 RÉFLÉCHIS + ROULE! On s'attend normalement à voir un fabricant de vélo allemand dans le sud de l'allemagne, en moyenne montagne, dans les forêts ou dans les Alpes. Chez Bergamont, on ne fait rien comme tout le monde. Tout a commencé avec un simple petit atelier de vélo, qui était à l'origine une boucherie, dans les halles du Schlachthoff, en plein centre d'hambourg. Nous sommes toujours ici - mais un peu plus grand qu'avant bien sûr. Ce n'est pas seulement notre passion pour le vélo et la qualité de l'ingénierie allemande qui nous a poussé vers le haut, mais aussi la tradition commerciale de la zône portuaire. Grâce aux échanges facilités avec l'asie, nous avons pu trouver des partenaires fiables pour notre production en Chine et à Taiwan, avec lesquels nous coopérons étroitement depuis 20 ans. 04

5 GARÉ A LA MODE DE SCHANZE. Toutefois, le coeur de Bergamont est toujours à Schlachthof, qui se situe dans le quartier tendance d'hambourg, affectueusement appelé "Schanze" (tremplin en français). Souvent, des voisins passent nous faire un petit coucou, comme les membres du groupe de Hip-Hop Fettes Brot. Les footballeurs cultes du FC St. Pauli s'entraînent juste à côté. C'est un quartier multi-culturel, où on trouve beaucoup de boîtes de nuit, des restaurants branchés, des troquets traditionnels et des magasins de vêtements décalés. PETITE BALADE POUR TESTER LES PROTOTYPES. Sur les vieilles rues pavées, les talus et zones de travaux fermées, on essaie rapidement les nouveaux vélos, pendant la pause déjeuner. Et quand on peut, on charge les vélos dans notre fourgon Crafter VW et on part dans la nature. Et oui! Il y aussi des montagnes à Hambourg. Certaines pistes sont même assez difficiles! Décollage et plaisir assurés pour les fans de VTT. Le mont Waseberg, situé dans le sympathique quartier de Blankenese, est, avec sa pente de 15%, une piste prestigieuse et un grand classique à Hambourg. La traditionnelle bruine d'hambourg rend les petits chemins de pierres des réserves naturelles de Duvenstedter Brook et de Wittmoor boueux comme il faut pour tester nos vélos dans des conditions extrêmes. Seuls les jeunes Hambourgeois ont assez de cran pour cela... 05
