1 INTRODUCTION State Regulations: A set of regulations in a format designated by KA, that are consistent with the National Competition Rules ( NCR ) and the International Sporting Code and that are specific to Competition sanctioned by the SKC (State, Zonal and Club Competition.) All State Regulations must be promulgated by an SKC and approved by KA. Should there be a conflict between the Rules and the State Regulations, the Rules will prevail. In 2016, such approval from KA must be received prior to the first occasion on which they shall be applied. In subsequent years such approval from KA must be received prior to 1 December for implementation in the following year. State Regulations may be applied to State, Zonal and Club Competition. AUTHORITY At a meeting of Karting Victoria Incorporated, on 11 th November 2015 It was resolved that these State Regulations be submitted to Karting Australia ( KA ) for approval in accordance with the provisions of the National Competition Rules and having been approved by KA, promulgated for use in Competition in Victoria from 1 st January 2016 as permitted and specified. GENERAL REGULATIONS 1) Procedure for Preparing and Submitting Supplementary Regulations a) Supplementary Regulations are to be submitted via CMS no less than 60 days prior to the first day of on track activity. 2) Permit Fees For Events a) The fees outlined below are applicable to all events conducted under the auspices of Karting Victoria. All fees in these Regulations are inclusive of GST, where GST is applicable. b) State Series: $ permit fee plus $6.00 per entry. c) All Other Events excluding Club Competition: $ permit fee plus $4.00 per entry. d) Club Competition: Fee of $5.00 per entry 3) Specified Classes For Competition a) In addition to the Classes and/or Divisions detailed in the Rules, the Classes and/or Divisions eligible to compete in a State Series or below Competition are detailed in these State Regulations. 4) Minimum Closing Time For Entries a) State Series: In accordance with the relevant Series Regulations b) All other Events excluding Club Competition: i) For Pre entries payment is required prior to the close of entries to validate the entry ii) Pre Entries will close a minimum of four(4) days prior to the commencement of the Event c) Club Competition: As detailed the relevant Supplementary Regulations for a Meeting. 5) Consolidation of Classes a) The Organising Club will consolidate Classes and/or Divisions (in accordance with the KA Manual) to run on the track simultaneously. b) If Classes and/or Divisions are consolidated, each Organising Club will be permitted to adjust the number of laps at their discretion. 6) Competition Numbers a) To be selected if available at time of entry on CMS 7) Licence Criteria a) At a State Series Meeting only Drivers holding a C or D Grade Senior Licence will be eligible to Compete in a TAG 125 Restricted Division. b) At a Club Competition Drivers holding a Maximum of a B Grade Senior Licence who are Competing in a TAG 125 Restricted Division will be eligible for points or awards. 8) Technical a) For all State Series, State Cup, Zonal and Club events the Minimum weight including the Driver for TAG 125 Restricted Super Heavy and Masters Divisions is as follows: DIVISION ENGINE & WEIGHT ENGINE & WEIGHT TAG 125 Restricted Super Heavy Rotax (EVO): 202kg All other engines: 197kg TAG125 Masters +restricted Masters Rotax (EVO): 177kg All other engines: 172kg P a g e 1

2 SPORTING REGULATIONS STATE SERIES Victorian Country Series Golden Power Series GENERAL SERIES REGULATIONS 1) Competition Level: State Series 2) Minimum Closing Time For Entries a) Online: 4 days prior to the commencement of the event. b) Late entries may be accepted up to last post on the Friday prior to the event on subscribed Classes only. c) Late entries may be accepted up until the day before the commencement of the event by contacting the Organising Club. d) Additional entry criteria for each specific Series may be listed in these State Regulations. 3) Competition Number Allocation a) Via Cms allocation as available 4) State Series Point score a) The point score for each Series will be maintained by Karting Victoria b) The % Point System will be used for each Round of each Series. c) Series Points will be allocated for each Heat and the Final at each Round of the Series d) Each Drivers five (5) highest point scoring Rounds of a Series count towards the Series point score. 5) Prizes and Prize Giving a) The following prizes will be awarded for each State Series based on the Series Point Score: i) 1 st : Trophy ii) 2 nd : Trophy iii) 3 rd : Trophy iv) 4 th : Prize v) 5 th : Prize b) Each specific Series may award additional prizes in accordance with these State Regulations and/or the Supplementary Regulations for each Meeting. 3 Victorian Country Series 1) GENERAL a) The Victoria Country Series (Series) will be conducted over six (6) Rounds. The dates and venue for each Round are as follows: Round Date Venue Club 1 14 February Cobden Park Raceway South West Kart Club 2 10 April Portland Kartway Portland & District Kart Club 3 15 May Warrnambool Kart Circuit Warrnambool Kart Club 4 17 July Dooen Raceway Wimmera Kart Racing Club 5 3 September Hadden Park Raceway Ballarat Kart Club October Buckley Park Raceway Hamilton Kart Club b) For a Class or Division to be eligible for final Series points the Class must run at five (5) Rounds and must have a minimum of six (6) entries at each Round to constitute a Class or Division. c) A Driver must Compete in a Class or Divisions at a Minimum of five (5) Rounds to be eligible for Series prizes and awards. d) The Race Track shall be closed to all Competitors and their equipment from 12.01am Monday prior to the Round until: i) Rounds 1-5: Until 12.01am on Saturday ii) Round 6: Until 12.01am on Friday 2) CLASSES a) The following Classes or Divisions will be eligible to compete in the Series: Cadet 9 KA3 Senior Light TAG 125 Restricted Light Cadet 12 KA3 Senior Heavy TAG 125 Restricted Heavy KA4 Junior Light KA3 Masters TAG 125 Restricted Super Heavy KA4 Junior Heavy TAG 125 Light TAG 125 Restricted Masters KA3 Junior TAG 125 Heavy 3) FORMAT a) Rounds 1-5 of the Series will consist of, and be conducted in the following manner: i) One (1) Qualifying: Minimum of six (6) minutes duration for each Class or Division ii) Heat 1: Grid Positions in accordance with the results of Qualifying, with the fastest Driver on Pole Position and so on. The Heat Race will be approximately 8.5km in duration expressed as a number of laps. iii) Heat 2: Grid Positions in accordance with the results of Heat 1, with the winner on Pole Position and so on. The Heat Race will be approximately 8.5km in duration expressed as a number of laps. iv) Final: Highest accumulated points from Heat 1 and Heat 2 will start on Pole Position and so on. The Final Race will be approximately 13 km in duration expressed as a number of laps. b) Round 6 of the Series will consist of, and be conducted in the following manner: i) One (1) Qualifying: Minimum of six (6) minutes duration for each Class or Division ii) Heat 1: Grid Positions in accordance with the results of Qualifying, with the fastest Driver on Pole Position and so on. The Heat Race will be approximately 8.5km in duration expressed as a number of laps. iii) Heat 2: Grid Positions in accordance with the results of Heat 1, with the winner on Pole Position and so on. The Heat Race will be approximately 8.5km in duration expressed as a number of laps. v) Final: Highest accumulated points from Heat 1, Heat 2 and Heat 3 will start on Pole Position and so on. 4 4) ENTRY FEE NOTE: (All entry fees are inclusive of GST (where applicable) and National and State Track Development Levies) a) The following entry fee will be payable for each Round of the Series: i) All Classes or Divisions - First Entry: $70.00 ii) All Classes or Divisions - Second & Subsequent Entry: $50.00 (If a person is racing more than one (1) Class or Division at a Meeting) 5) SERIES AWARDS a) Prizes and Awards will be issued in accordance with the provisions of these State Regulations. b) Each Driver who Competes in all six (6) Rounds of the Series will receive a complimentary Entry for one (1) Round in the 2017 Series. 5 Golden Power Series 1) GENERAL a) The Golden Power Series (Series) will be conducted over five (5) Rounds. The dates and venue for each Round are as follows: Round Date Venue Club March Tramway Park Raceway Gippsland Go Kart Club May Rochester Sporting Complex Rocherter Kart Club July Marong Raceway Bendigo Kart Club August Sheathers Road Kart Complex Albury-Wodonga Kart Club November Hume International Raceway Eastern Lions Kart Club b) For a Class or Division to be eligible for final Series points the Class must run at all five (5) Rounds and must have a minimum of eight (8) entries at each Round to constitute a Class or Division. c) A Driver must Compete in a Class or Divisions at a Minimum of five (5) Rounds to be eligible for Series prizes and awards. d) The Race Track shall be closed to all Competitors and their equipment from 12.01am Monday prior to the Round until:11am Friday of the event 2) CLASSES a) The following Classes or Divisions will be eligible to compete in the Series: Cadet 9 KA3 Senior Light TAG 125 Restricted Light Cadet 12 KA3 Senior Heavy TAG 125 Restricted Heavy KA4 Junior Light KA3 Masters TAG 125 Restricted Super Heavy KA4 Junior Heavy TAG 125 Light TAG 125 Restricted Masters KA3 Junior TAG 125 Heavy 3) FORMAT a) Rounds of the Series will consist of, and be conducted in the following manner: i) One (1) Qualifying: Minimum of six (6) minutes duration for each Class or Division ii) Heat 1: Grid Positions in accordance with the results of Qualifying, with the fastest Driver on Pole Position and so on. The Heat Race will be approximately 6klm in duration expressed as a number of laps. iii) Heat 2: Grid Positions in accordance with the results of Qualifying with the Fastest driver on Pole Position and so on. The Heat Race will be approximately 6klm in duration expressed as a number of laps. iv) Heats 3+4: Highest accumulated points from all previous heats will start on Pole Position and so on. Heats 3+4 will be approximately 6 km in duration expressed as a number of laps. v) Final will be Approximately 9klm in duration expressed in a number of laps. vi) FINAL ONLY COUNTS ON THE DAY vii) All heats and final points count towards series points 4) The following entry fee will be payable for each Round of the Series: i) All Classes or Divisions : $95.00 ii) Entrys conformation from 4.00PM Friday of event weekend 5) SERIES AWARDS a) Prizes and Awards will be issued in accordance with the provisions of these State Regulations.
