4 WKF ACCREDITED COMPETITIONS ORGANISING RULES PREAMBLE The WKF Accredited Competitions (WAC) are Karate competitions accredited and supported by the World Karate Federation. Besides the Karate1 Premier League and the Karate1 World Cup, the WAC form the basis of WKF Karate presenting standardized and well-organised Karate competitions. As a reliable seal of quality for Karate competitions the WAC-status may be granted to WKF member Federations Karate events, as well as to single-style events. While maintaining the individual character of each event, all WAC have to meet certain standards in order to achieve the above-mentioned goals. Therefore it is necessary to apply some basic organising rules that are displayed in this rulebook. GENERAL OUTLINE The number of competitors at WAC events is decided by the host. The number and description of categories is decided by the host. Prize money is optional. A WAC event should be hosted in a city with sufficient infrastructure and an international airport close.
