1 Hatfield 12 gauge auto shotgun I tried applying liberal amounts of gun oil, working the trigger and hammer back and forth, but the trigger was still incredibly stiff. Even without a round in the chamber, you could cock the hammer and bounce the trigger on your index finger, without setting it off. It was at this point I decided to call the manufacturer, which lead to an awkward phone call. Is there any "NEW INFO" on these $226 Hatfield semi-auto shotguns being sold at WALMART? Has anyone else purchased and shot one? Has anyone yet put 500+ rounds through one of these Hatfields? Any functional problems? I'm kind of tempted, and was hoping to see more feedback from new users.. I picked up a double barrel coach gun made in Russia for a bit over $350. Then purchased the.410, 20 and 16 gage adapters. 2 times and heard something hitting the floor.it was a no. 8 shot pellet.at first I thought it was the little ball that the magazine cap clicks on at first then another hit the floor.couldn't figure out where they had come from.started taking gun apart and when I got to the barrel and piston,there was one in the collar that the piston slides into.apparently they are coming from the 2 exhaust holes that cycle the piston.just wondering if anybody else has had this happen? I bought mine because I've always wanted a 410 shotgun. Took it to my gunsmith to have the barrel shortened. Just for fun I had him try the trigger. He put his trigger gauge on it, didn't trip at the max reading (12.5 lbs). He estimated the trigger to be between 15 and 20 lbs. Called my last night to tell me it was done. Even though I hadn't asked him to, he said he's worked on the trigger and got it down to 8 lbs. Depending on how much fun I have with

3 this, I might have choke tubes installed in the future (he said the barrel was thick enough to take them). I'm also thinking about getting another one in 20 ga. You bought a $99.00 shotgun, for pete's sake. Was it supposed to be a masterpiece? And incidentally, Walmart could not care less about the trigger pull on a bottom end piece of merchandise. Walmart handles stuff that sells quickly at low prices. I guess, if you buy the same gun at Bud's Gun Shop for $115, it's has less recoil and a smoother trigger? Believe me, Bud's sells the exact same weapon that Walmart offers. Walmart just sells it cheaper and without writing any "specs" for it. I recently purchased the 12 an 20 both auto loaders.. the 12 ive had zero issues with but I fired 25rounds of fiochii #6 heavy game in it.. the 20 I bought hung 3 rounds during ejection but they were some federal 7.5 game loads basically the bulk pack shells.. put aprox rounds of those but only had those 3 rounds hang up.. last shots I removed the plug give it a full tube an one in chamber an it fired them as fast as I could yank the trigger. In a sense, a small aspect of "quality" does affect recoil the forcing cones. When done right, gradually tapering forcing cones better distribute the recoil, making most 12 gauge shotguns manageable. When done cheaply, as is the case with the Hatfield, the forcing cones are steep and force the majority of recoil into the shooter's shoulder. The system sells as a pair, and gives you the ability to fire 12 different rounds from a single weapon when you add the adapters and the 12 gauge and 22 LR barrels. The M6's folding ability is quite handy, and the rifle is super lightweight. The weapon is also outfitted with a short rail system for attaching an optic if you want one. The biggest downside to the weapon is the recoil from 12 gauge is quite stout due to how light the gun is. Single barreled shotguns are also quite lightweight. Most folks are going to be running a rifle as their main defensive firearm because it's the best choice for a fight. A single barreled shotgun compliments the rifle by being lightweight and easy to carry, as well as more versatile when it comes to hunting animals, or killing pests. Single barreled shotguns with full length barrels also tend to be much more compact that a pump action or semi-automatic shotguns. They lack a magazine tube so they are usually thinner as well.
