We challenged ourselves to make a sight so versatile that it would make every sight on the market obsolete. DP Fixed Rear Tactical Carry Sights It doesn t stop there. We offer a target rear (plain black) sight with ultra-fine serrations that cut glare and give you a crisper, cleaner sight picture, yet keeps your focus on your front sight where it should be. There is also an optic rear that won t halo because we ve counter bored the inserts. No other sight does this. The tritium with two dots smaller on the rear keeps your focus on the front sight. The Challenge: No. 1 - To make a sight so snag-free, with no sharp corners, that you d think it s not there until you draw your weapon and see that distinctive DP sight picture. Remove old optic by cutting it in two from the middle with a razor blade or sharp knife and pulling the pieces out of each end. Front Muzzle End 3a. INSTALL A PREFORMED INSERT. Feed the new insert into the sight from the rear to the front. The bulbed end should be below flush in the counter bore of the sight blade. This will keep the optic clear, bright and more defined. The small end of the optic should be extended out of the front of the sight about 1/16. Trim if necessary. See 4. Front Muzzle 8 End We sell optic fiber $1.00 per inch! Specify Color, Red or Green. 3b. INSTALL AN OPTIC LENGTH. Feed the Optic length through the sight. Carefully melt the optic at the rear of the blade into a bulb and pull the optic into the sight. The flame only needs to be close, not touching the optic to melt the end into a bulb. The optic bulb should go into the sight counter bore, fitting snug and flush. Rear of blade (the end you look at) Important Note: Use only the heat from the flame - Do not touch the flame to the optic filament! 4. Trim the optic at the muzzle end of the sight 1/16 from the end of the sight itself. Hold a heat source close to the front of the sight. Hold the heat source there until the end of the optic draws into the sight and pulls itself into the counter sink. Be careful not to overheat the optic. A blue-flame cigar lighter works better than a yellow flame lighter.
