1 Additional Supplementary Regulations 2018 Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship Round 1 Saturday & Sunday May 12 th & 13 th, 2018 Permit # AMENDED This event is sanctioned by the Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club (JMMC) and is held in accordance with the FIA International Sporting Code and its appendices, the General Regulations of JMMC, and the present Code and Motor Sports Rules and Regulations of the CMRA and JRDC (2018). Technical Classifications are under the 2018 Caribbean Motor Racing Association and the Sporting & Technical Regulations of JRDC. TIME & PLACE Saturday May 12 th, 7:00am Technical Inspection, Official Practice, Qualifying & Racing Sunday May 13 st 9:00am Racing Jamwest Speedway, Old Hope, Westmoreland. THE COURSE ORGANIZER: The course is a 2.58 km or 1.6-mile Closed circuit run in an anti-clockwise direction. LICENSES A Minimum JMMC 2018 Provisional Competition License for rookies and MINIMUM 2018 National Competition License for all other local competitors. All overseas competitors MUST possess a 2018 Competition license issued by their country s ASN or present a letter from their country of residence ASN granting them permission to compete. Rookie drivers shall place a black triangle (no less than ½ thick lines) on the rear of their cars, in a prominent position. Drivers who have never completed 3 races in one calendar year shall be considered rookies. REGISTRATION & BRIEFING Competitors & Race Officials: Tuesday May 8 th, 6:30 p.m. Location to be determined. Mandatory Competitors Briefings will commence at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday May 12 th. Failure to attend this mandatory Competitors Briefing and sign the attendance sheet shall result in the deduction of five (5) Championship Points and/or one grid place for CMRC classes ONLY. TECHNICAL INSPECTION Pre-event Technical Inspection for competitors will take place from May 8 th to 11 th island wide. Each competitor will be contacted by the Chief Scrutineer to confirm the date and time at which their vehicle will be inspected. The Scrutineer shall check for mandatory safety equipment, vehicle safety, mechanical compliance to classifications (where possible), and required sponsors decals and logos. Technical Inspection will take place on Saturday May 12 th for vehicles which were not inspected during May 8 th to 11 th. All cars & bikes must be inspected before being allowed to practice on Saturday May 12, Post-race and qualifying technical inspection shall take place immediately after each session. The first, second and third placed cars in ALL CLASSES shall proceed DIRECTLY to the scale area to be weighed, and checked for the necessary decals and logos. Failure to do so may result in disqualification, at the discretion of the Clerk of the Course. The onus is on the competitor to present his car promptly for weighing. A random weighing and inspection of other race cars competing may be ordered by the scrutineer after any track session. A crewmember from each team should remain with the car while it is in the scrutineering / scale area. STARTING PROCEDURES FOR CARS CMRC Groups 1 and 2 will utilize standing starts. 3 GRIDDING PROCEDURES FOR CARS Races will be gridded as per finishes with no Class separation. Therefore, Race 1 is as per qualifying, Race 2 is per Race 1 finish and Race 3 is as per Race 2 finish. OFFICIAL SCALES The Official Scales shall be available to all competitors during the event except for when post-race technical inspection is being conducted. The onus is on the competitors to have their cars at the proper weight. OFFICIAL NOTICE BOARDS The Official Notice Board is located at the base of the drag tower, in the pit by the containers and in the paddock area at Bay #1.
