1 RHODA - PRITCHETT CAPTURE SECOND YOUTH ADULT TITLE Mother Daughter Duo Upend Stephen F Austin Teammates in thrilling finale In what can only be described as a talent laden women's final eight field, NWIJTPA Youth Adult Champions Jackie Rhoda and Gina Pritchett emerged to hoist the trophy yet again. The mother daughter duo had no easy road to the finals, first squaring off against Highland High standout Lindsey Norton (who's 209 average is currently 2nd in Indiana High School bowling this season) and her Greater Calumet Area Hall of Fame teammate Kathi Tucker. Rhoda- Pritchett emerged with a 2-0 victory only to find 2014 Post Tribune Player of the Year and Nebraska Cornhusker Kelly Belzeski and her partner, Northwest Indiana legend Christine Munsie, the #1 seeds, waiting in the semi-finals. Once again Rhoda-Pritchett emerged with a 2-0 victory that included a narrow win in game 2. The championship match opponents were Stephen F Austin freshman Dakota Hazelwood (Rockford, IL) who was a top- 30 finisher at the 2015 Junior Gold championships and her her partner 2015 NCAA All American and 2011 and 2013 Post Tribune Player of the Year Paige Kraushaar. After trading wins, the match headed into the deciding game 3. On center stage, the ladies did not disappoint. With the match on the line heading into the 10th frame, Rhoda stepped up and delivered three dead flush strikes to secure the title. Rhoda, the 2015 Post Tribune Player of the Year and Maryland Eastern Shore freshman, earned her fifth NWIJTPA title which ranks third on the all time list. The Rhoda-Pritchett duo also claimed the 2013 NWIJTPA Youth Adult crown. Other finalists included JR Team USA member and NCAA Rookie of the Year Stephanie Schwartz and her Stephen F Austin teammate, the 2013 Indiana High School state champ and 2012 Post Tribune Player of the Year Carly Larson, Illinois State Champion Nicolette Mendez and her partner Greater Calumet Area High Average recipient Jackie Graan, Valparaiso standout and 2012 Indiana High School player of the Year Aubree Trexler and her partner former Valparaiso All American Natalie Cortese, and Hamilton Heights freshman phenom, a two time titlist on the Elite Youth Tour, Keagan Trexler and her partner another former Valparaiso All American Amanda Cortese. The ladies field of 29 teams averaged 175.3, with the girls coming in at and their adult partners at The top youth performance was turned in by Nebraska's Kelly Belzeski (1,245) while Natalie Cortese led all ladies with her 1,265. Jordan Shepherd, Matt Staninger Cruise to Youth Adult Title Indianapolis Area Tandem take down CCSJ teammates Mitch Burk and Tyler Hansen 2-0 The guys side finalists, not to be out resumed by the ladies, also sported some nifty track records. Finalists included multiple local Hall of Famers, former collegiate stars, current collegiate and high school standouts, three former Indiana High School bowlers of the year and the reigning Indiana Youth Masters champion. In the end, it was current Masters champion Jordan Shepherd and Matt Staninger standing tall and hoisting the championship trophy after dismantling Calumet College teammates Mitch Burk and Tyler Hansen and in the finals. The champions advanced to the title match with victories over Portage standout Austin Schultz and his partner, PBA member and silver level coach Ted Rosenquist in the quarterfinals and over the tandem of Logan Rosing and Jerry James Jr in the semi-finals. Other finalists included collegiate standouts at Purdue University Dustin Zehner and Zach Wiedman, both past High School players of the year (along with Matt Staninger).

2 Kyle Snuffer and Lakeshore Hall of Famer Jeff Snuffer, Michigan standout and Wisc Whitewater recruit Ryan Winters and his partner Tom Reynolds, and Michigan City star Aaron Skibinski and his partner, former Michigan City standout Sam Welch. Overall, 43 teams competing in the mens division with the youth averaging and the adult men coming in at The top youth performer was Ryan Winters (1,237), while Zach Weidman led the men with a 1,293. With the help of presenting sponsor DV8, nearly $4,300 was distributed in event scholarships and placed into the year end tournament championship fund. Junior Gold spots were awarded to Kelly Belzeski (Schereville, IN) and Marty Freeborn (Dyer, IN). The tour will now take an 8 week break before returning February 21 in Lowell, IN. NWIJTPA YOUTH ADULT field fills the 48-Lane Stardust Bowl III center!! The past three Post Tribune Bowlers of the Year lining up in the semi-finals. (L-R) Kelly Belzeski (2014), Jackie Rhoda (2015), and Paige Kraushaar (2011,2013), were also joined in the championshop round by Carly Larson (2012). Larson and Kraushaar were competing as adults. Rhoda's team earned the title. Belzeski led all youth.
