2 Introduction Play Card Statistics for Grey (versus Orange) 1 : The play cards have 144 possible play outcomes that in the aggregate have the following statistics. Average yards per run/pass attempt 5.5 Average yards per run attempt 6.0 Average yards per pass attempt 5.0 Pass completion percentage (includes TD outcomes) 61 Turnovers per 100 plays 4 Touchdowns per 100 plays 4 There are nine possible personnel combinations. Each includes four offense and four defense plays resulting in sixteen possible play outcomes. The following shows the average yards per run and pass within each combination. Yards per Run Def = Run-Stop Def = Base Def = Pass-Stop Off = Power Off = Base Off = Spread Yards per Pass Def = Run-Stop Def = Base Def = Pass-Stop Off = Power Off = Base Off = Spread Every offense play has at least one negative 2 and at least two positive play outcomes within each respective personnel combination. This is also true for every defense play. For those combinations with a TD there is also a turnover within the same combination. 1

3 Play Outcome Distributions for Grey (vs. Orange) 1 : Each graph represents the distribution of 72 play outcomes. Runs have a lower chance of no gain and a higher chance of a short 1 to 5 yard gain.
