6 2014 NFHS Rule Change 20 Yards No Horned Substitutions

7 2014 NFHS Rule Change Stacking Penalties Penalty Time ( Stacking Penalties ): This revised rule specifies that no more than three players on a team can be in the penalty area at any time. If more than three players on a team are assessed penalty time to be served concurrently, the additional penalized team member(s) must wait in the bench area until the penalty time of one of the three players in the penalty area expires. This will eliminate the possibility of a team playing with fewer than seven players.

8 2014 NFHS Rule Change Slow Whistle Technique This revision specifies that, during a Flag Down situation (Slow Whistle), the officials will stop play to enforce penalties should a subsequent second defensive foul occur during the final two minutes of regulation play with the team that is ahead possessing the ball in the goal/attack area, unless a scoring play is imminent. This change will discourage the defensive team from fouling to gain possession.

15 2015 NFHS Rule Changes 2015 NFHS Rule Changes Rule 4, Section 22, Article 1, 2,3 Restarts: Revises the restart procedure to specify that the ball may be restarted in the goal area or in the crease on a turnover to the defense. However, no restart shall take place with any player within 5 yards of the ball carrier.

17 2015 NFHS Rule Changes 2015 NFHS Rule Changes Rule 6, Section 5, Article 2e Illegal Procedure: Specifies that if a player leaves the penalty area before authorized to do so and if a goal is scored by the opposing team, that player will not be required to serve the 30-second penalty for illegal entry into the game. The unexpired penalty time is also nullified.
