A fourth-round pick by the Capitals at the 2010 NHL Draft, Grubauer has made 42 appearances, including 32 starts, over four NHL seasons, posting a record of with a 2.38 goals-against average and a.921 save percentage. Grubauer was with a 2.22 goals-against average and a.920 save percentage in 11 appearances at the Verizon Center in The native of Rosenheim, Germany is one of nine Capitals players participating in the World Cup of Hockey.
