St. Louis was the NHL s 5th-best home team last season, posting a 7-- mark. Tonight s starting goalie, Brian Elliott, has not only won all four of his starts this season but has been a rock at Scottrade Center over his Blues career. In -5, the conference produced six -point teams for the second consecutive season. What s more, it kept a 95-point Los Angeles Kings club out of the playoff picture just the third time since (start of 8-game slate) that a team that garnered as many points was forced to start vacation early.
