Wade taught in the Wichita school district and is currently coordinating a native plant restoration/education project that connects high school students with land management scientists in southern Utah. He also works as an archaeologist on the plains, deserts and mountains of the American West. He is a talented artist and has done many of the wildlife and botanical drawings for the publications.
