1 TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE Villanova has perennially been one of the most successful men s track & field programs in the nation and the Wildcats maintain that position of national prominence today. Villanova has won 36 events at the NCAA Championships over the years and has scored points at the national meet in 43 of the 53 years that the championships have been held. The success at the national level includes three national championship seasons (1968, 1971, 1979), a total of 18 top-five team finishes and 255 All-Americans. At the BIG EAST level, the Wildcats have won six team titles and also boast a conference record 128 individual championships. In the last four years combined ( ), Villanova has won 23 events and had a total of 93 All-BIG EAST selections.
