I would suggest the farthest Starboard and aft corner, photo #3. This corner puts you about 8 ft back from the bridge face but the camera could mount on the fore and aft railing furthest to the starboard where the Astrix is. You would be as far outboard as possible and the view would be fairly unobstructed. Photo #1 is of the port corner and photo #2 is of the Starboard forward corner. The camera system has an integrated anemometer, so we will get a bridge measurement too, as you suggest. I have one issue with instrumentation that might need servicing being placed on the main mast, we normally do not allow anyone up the mast unless the vessel is at the pier or the situation is deemed an emergency. Access to the main mast is difficult and frankly dangerous at sea. I would suggest placing you camera on the front railing of the flying bridge. I feel that you would be able to get a clear view of the sea and swell if the camera was angled slightly off of the center line and access to this deck is not a problem. The anemometers could be placed on the flying bridge as well but they should be elevated above the hand rail to avoid any acceleration of wind compressing on the face of the house and accelerating over the railing. I hope this helps in your decision.
