First-aid measures General advice: Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and clothing. Remove contaminated clothing. If difficulties occur: Obtain medical attention. Show container, label and/or safety data sheet to doctor. If swallowed: Do NOT induce vomiting. Drink a large quantity of milk or if not available, a large quantity of water. For advice call the National Poisons Centre ( ) or a doctor immediately. If inhaled: Keep patient calm, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably mouth to mouth. Contact the National Poisons Centre or a doctor immediately. If on skin: Rinse off material and wash with soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation persists. On contact with eyes: Hold eyelids open and rinse slowly and gently with water for minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eyes. Contact the National Poisons Centre or a doctor immediately. Note to physician: Elevated urinary copper is indicated of excess copper exposure. If swallowed, perform gastric lavage with water or 0.1% solution of potassium ferrocyanide. Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate gastric lavage. Many copper salts by skin contact cause itching, eczema and rarely, sensitization reactions. 5. Fire-fighting measures Suitable extinguishing media Water fog, fine water spray, foam or dry agent. Specific hazards Can decompose at high temperatures forming toxic gases. Decomposes when heated to form copper oxide (CuO) and water. Avoid temperatures above 140 C. Decomposes at 120 C. Not flammable.

Do not allow run-off to enter sewage or effluent systems, drains or watercourses. 6. Accidental release measures Personal precautions: Use personal protective clothing. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid dust formation. Environmental precautions: Do not discharge into the subsoil/soil. Do not discharge into drains/surface waters/groundwater. Methods for cleaning up or taking up: For small amounts: Contain with dust binding material and dispose of. For large amounts: Sweep/shovel up. Cleaning operations should be carried out only while wearing breathing apparatus and eye protection. Dispose of absorbed material in accordance with regulations. Collect waste in suitable containers, which can be labeled and sealed. Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly with water and detergents, observing environmental regulations. 7. Handling and storage Handling No special measures necessary if stored and handled correctly. Ensure thorough ventilation of stores and work areas. APPROVED HANDLER: Approved handlers as defined under the HSNO Act 1996 are required for this product when it is used in a wide dispersive manner or by a commercial contractor. Protection against fire and explosion: Dust can form an explosive mixture with air. Avoid dust formation. Avoid deposition of dust. Prevent electrostatic charge - sources of ignition should be kept well clear - fire extinguishers should be kept handy. Storage Segregate from foods and animal feeds. Further information on storage conditions: Protect against moisture. Keep away from heat. Protect from direct sunlight. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and clothing. Wearing of closed work clothing is recommended. Store work clothing separately. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. No eating, drinking, smoking or tobacco use at the place of work. Remove contaminated clothing immediately and dispose of safely. Hands and/or face should be washed before breaks and at the end of the shift.
