2 4) FIRST AID MEASURES General : In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek attention. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Inhalation : Remove to fresh air, keep the patient warm at rest. If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial respiration, Give nothing by mouth, If unconscious place in the recovery position and seek medical advice. Eye Contact : Contact lenses should be removed. Irrigate copiously with clear fresh water for at least 10minutes, holding the eyelids apart, and seek medical advice. Skin Contact : Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water or use proprietary skin cleaner. Do not use solvent or thinners Ingestion : If accidentally swallowed obtain immediate medical attention. Keep at rest. Do not induce vomiting. 5) FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES Extinguishing Media : Alcohol resistant foam, C02, powder, water spray / mist Not suitable : Water jet Fire hazard : As the product contains combustible organic components, fire will produce dense black smoke containing hazardous products of combustion. Exposure to decomposition products may be a hazard to health. Appropriate self - contained breathing apparatus may be required. Cool closed containers exposed to fire with water spray. Do not allow run off from fire fighting to enter drains or watercourses. 6) ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Exclude non-essential personnel. Refer to protective measures listed in Section 7 and 8. Contain and collect with non-combustible material, eg sand, earth, vermiculite, diatomaceous earth and place in suitable container for disposal in accordance with the waste regulations (see Section 13). Do not allow to enter drains or water courses. Clean with detergent; avoid the use of solvents. 3 7) HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling : Keep containers tightly closed. Exclude sources of heat, sparks and open flame. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not breathe vapor Storage : Store in a dry, well-ventilated place away from sources of heat, direct sunlight and water. Generally temperature not exceeding 40 º C should be sufficient. However, it is very important that the s MUST NOT be exposed to freezing condition that causes the s to freeze. The s MUST NOT get frozen even tiny amount, as freezing will affect the colour. Prevent unauthorized access. Containers that are opened should be properly resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. 8) EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION Engineering measures : Provide adequate ventilation. Where reasonably practicable this should be achieved by the use of local exhaust ventilation and good general extraction. Suitable respiratory protective equipment should be worn. Personal Protective Equipment : Respiratory : Suitable respiratory protective equipment should be worn. Hands : Where skin exposure may occur, polyvinylalcohol, neoprene or nitrile rubber gloves should be used. Barrier creams may help to protect exposure areas of skin but are not substitutes for full physical protection. They should not be applied once exposure has occurred. Eyes : Eye protection designed to protect against liquid splash should be worn. Skin and Body : Cotton or cotton / synthetic overalls or coveralls are normally suitable. 4 10) STABILITY AND REACTIVITY Stable under the recommended storage and handling conditions (see Section 7). In a fire, hazardous decomposition products such as smoke, carbon monoxide and oxides of nitrogen may be produced. Keep away from oxidizing agents and strongly alkaline and acidic materials to prevent the possibility of separation. 11) TOXICOLOGY INFORMATION There are no data available on the product itself. Wherever possible, FDA or BGA approved additives are being used. The organic pigments used are inert and heat stable. Splash in the eyes may cause discomfort and reversible local damage. Our grade meets EN71 Part II for Heavy Metals Content. 12) ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION There are no data available on the product itself. The product should not be allowed to enter drains or watercourses or be deposited where it can affect ground or surface waters. The Air Pollution Control / Integrated Pollution Control requirements or regulations made under the Environmental Protection Act may apply to the use of this product. 13) DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS Do not allow into drains or water courses of where ground or surface waters may be affected. Wastes including emptied containers, are controlled wastes and should be disposed off in accordance with regulations made under the control of Pollution Act and the Environmental Protection Act.
