2 see 11 for more detailed information on health effects and symptoms. 4 FIRST AID MEASURES In case of accident, seek medical advice and show label where possible Inhalation : Avoid breathing dust. If inhaled, remove victim to fresh air. Ingestion : If large quantities of this material are swallowed, call a Physician immediately. Drink water but DO NOT DRINK MILK. Do no induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Skin Contact : Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin. After Handling, always wash hands thoroughly with soap and Warm water.. Eye Contact In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty o of water for more than 5 minutes.. Get medical attention if irritation persists. See section 11 for more detailed information on health effects and symptoms. 5 FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES Not a distinctive fire hazard product is non combustible. Extinguishing Media In case of fire, use water spray (fog), foam or dry chemical. Do not use jetted water as this may spread fire. Special exposure hazards : Fire-fighters should wear positive pressure selfcontained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and full turnout gear. Avoid breathing dusts, vapours or fumes from burning materials. In case of inhalation of decomposition products in a fire, symptoms may be delayed. Hazardous thermal : These products are: carbon oxides (CO 1 CO 2 ) Decomposition products nitrogen oxides (NO, NO 2 etc.), ammonia(nh 3 ) 6.0 ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Personal Precautions : Use suitable protective equipment (section 8). Follow all Fire-fighting procedures (section 5) Environmental precautions: Avoid contact of spilled material and runoff with soil and And clean up methods water courses. Use a tool to scoop up solid material and place into an appropriate labelled waste container. Avoid creating dusty conditions and prevent wind dispersal. Keep out of waterways. 3 7.0 HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling Storage : Avoid creating dust when handling and avoid all possible sources of ignition (spark or flame). Do not smoke. Avoid contamination by any source including metals, dust and organic materials. : Must be stored in a dry, well ventilated location. KEEP DRY.. 8 EXPOSURE CONTROL/PERSONAL PROTECTION Occupational exposure limits: Total Inhalable dust 10 mg/m 3 Respirable dust 4 mg/m 3 Exposure controls Respiratory Protection Use a properly fitted, particulate filter respirator complying with an approved standard if a risk assessment indicates this is necessary. Hand protection Wear barrier cream or wear protective gloves complying with EN374 when handling chemical products. Eye Protection Use dust goggles if high dust concentration is generated. Skin Protection Personal protective equipment for the body should be selected based on the task being performed and the risks involved. Wash hands, forearms and face thoroughly after handling chemical products, before eating, smoking and using the lavatory and at the end of the working period. Highly reactive with perchlorate. Urea reacts with calcium hypochlorite or sodium hypochlorite to form the explosive nitrogent trichloride.
