Inflation Nozzles Additional nozzles have also been provided for inflating objects with the blow gun. These are suited for the different types of valves commonly found on inflatable objects. WARNING! AVOID INFLATING OBJECTS ABOVE THE RECOMMENDED INFLATION PRESSURE. THIS MAY LEAD TO DAMAGE AND/OR INJURIES. Inflating Tyres 1. Follow the instructions in 1. Assembly (Connecting to the Air Compressor) to connect the Air Chuck to the compressor. 2. Follow the instructions for operating your compressor. Check that the compressor is set to the correct air pressure for tyre you are trying to inflate. 3. Press the head of the Air Chuck firmly into the valve stem to form a good seal. Air flowing into the tyre should be heard. Once there is a notable decrease in sound, or the tyre feels firm, remove the Air Chuck. 4. Press the Tyre Pressure Gauge firmly onto the valve stem to check the tyre pressure. If the desired pressure has not been reached, repeat step 3. The Needle Nozzle is used for footballs, basketballs, soccer balls, etc. The silver Safety Adaptor will need to be used to connect this to the blow gun. The Tapered Nozzle and Rubber Nozzle are used for rubber dinghies, inflatable swimming pools and air beds. The silver Safety Adaptor will need to be used with the Rubber Nozzle. OZ-PK

14 5. ADDITIONAL ACCESSORIES 6. TROUBLESHOOTING Inline Mini Oiler The Inline Mini Oiler can be used to lubricate the Air Impact Wrench, Air Ratcher, and Air Chisel during prolonged use. Note: For applications that do not require prolonged use, oil can be directly applied to the inlet of the tool; refer to Lubricating AIr Tools in the Maintenance section. 1. Remove the Phillips head screw from the Oiler and fill the chamber with oil using the supplied Oil Pot. 2. Replace the screw. 3. Attach the Inline Mini Oiler between the tool and Male Nitto Connector. The impact wrench does not perform effectively. - Check that the air inlet is free of any dirt or blockages. - Ensure the wrench is lubricated properly. - Check that the pressure on the air compressor is within the operating range of the tool. If not, let the compressor re-pressurise/ refer to the compressor instruction manual. The air ratchet does not perform effectively. - Check that the Forward/Reverse Button is set to the correct direction. - Check to see if the ratchet has become jammed. Air leaks and the absence of the ratchet sound are indications that the tool is jammed. Lighly tap the head of the ratchet on the ground or working surface. Alternatively toggle the Forward/Reverse Button. - Check that the pressure on the air compressor is within the operating range of the tool. If not, let the compressor re-pressurise/ refer to the compressor instruction manual. The air chisel does not perform effectively. WARNING! DO NOT USE THE INLINE MINI OILER WITH THE BLOW GUN OR AIR CHUCK. - Check that the Air Regulator is not fully tightened. Try selecting a higher setting. - Check that the Air Inlet is free of any dirt or blockages. - Check that the pressure on the air compressor is within the operating range of the tool. If not, let the compressor re-pressurise/ refer to the compressor instruction manual. 36 Swivel Connector The 36 Swivel Connector can be used to avoid kinking or bending the hose during operation. We recommend attaching it between the tool and Air Hose. Note: Apply Thread Seal Tape on the threads to form a good seal between connections.

16 GENERAL TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference. The term power tool in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool. 1. Work area safety a. Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. b. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes. c. Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control. d. Air tools should not be used in a potentially explosive environment. 2. Personal Safety a. Stay alert. Watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating the tool. Do not use the tool while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention while operating the tool increases the risk of injury to persons. b. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts. c. Avoid unintentional starting. Be sure the switch is off before connecting to the air supply. Do not carry the tool with your finger on the switch or connect the tool to the air supply with the switch on. d. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Proper footing and balance enables better control of the tool in unexpected situations. e. Always wear eye protection. Never point the nozzle of an accessory towards any part of your body or towards another person. f. Use personal protective equipment including safety goggles or shield, ear protection, breathing respirator mask and protective clothing. 3. Tool Use & Care a. Check the maximum pressure rating of any tools or accessories that you intend using with the compressor. The output pressure of the air from the compressor must be regulated so that it never exceeds the rated pressure of the tool or accessory. b. Use clamps or other practical ways to secure and support the workpiece to a stable platform. Holding the work by hand or against the body is unstable and can lead to loss of control. c. Do not force the tool. Use the correct tool for the application. The correct tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which the tool is designed. d. Do not use the tool if the switch does not turn the tool on or off. Any tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired by an authorised repair agent. e. Disconnect the tool from the air source before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the tool. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the tool unintentionally. Turn off and detach the air supply, safely discharge any residual air pressure, and release the throttle and/or turn the switch to its off position before leaving the work area. f. Store the tool when it is idle out of reach of children and other untrained persons. A tool is dangerous in the hands of untrained users. g. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any other condition that affects the tool s operation. If damaged, have the tool serviced before using. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools. j. The tool must be used only for its prescribed purpose. Any use other than those mentioned in this manual will be considered a case of misuse. The user and not the manufacturer shall be liable for any damage or injury resulting from such cases of misuse. k. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation. l. Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of the tool in unexpected situations. 5. Service a. Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained. WARNING! In the event that an air line is cut or broken, the air supply must be turned off at the compressor. A broken air line which is not supported is extremely dangerous and can whip around very quickly, both with the capability of striking people, and blowing foreign particles into the air. Do not attempt to catch the air line but immediately keep bystanders well clear and turn off the air supply to the hose, turn off the compressor at the On / Off button, and then remove the hose from the compressor. PNEUMATIC TOOLS SAFETY WARNINGS WARNING! The appliance is not to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. a. Vibration caused by the hammer action may be harmful to your hands and arms. Do not use this tool for prolonged periods of time. Take regular breaks. Use gloves to provide extra cushioning in order to avoid any injury from the vibrations of the tool. b. When removing an accessory from the tool avoid contact with skin and use proper protective gloves when grasping the bit or accessory. Accessories may be hot after prolonged use. c. Always wear eye protection and a dust mask for dusty applications and when drilling/chiselling overhead. Sanding particles can be absorbed by your eyes and inhaled easily and may cause health complications. d. Wear ear protectors when using impact wrenches. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss. e. Use only sockets and adaptors which are in good condition and are intended for use with air tools. f. Ensure the air valve (or trigger) is in the off position before connecting to the air supply. g. Do not use any additional force upon the tool. h. Only use with accessories rated to handle the forces exerted by this tool during operation. Other accessories not designed for the forces generated may break and forcefully launch pieces. i. Attach all accessories properly to the tool before connecting the air supply. A loose accessory may detach or break during operation. j. Use this tool with both hands only. Using tools with only one hand can result in loss of control. k. Do not lay the tool down until it has come to a complete stop. Moving parts can grab the surface and pull the tool out of your control. j. Anyone using vibrating tools regularly or for an extended period should first be examined by a doctor and then have regular medical check-ups to ensure medical problems are not being caused or worsened from use. Pregnant women or people who have impaired blood circulation to the hand, past hand injuries, nervous system disorders, diabetes, or Raynaud s Disease should not use this tool. If you feel any symptoms related to vibration (such as tingling, numbness, and white or blue fingers), stop using the tool and seek medical advice as soon as possible.
