1 KROMCO VEST PRECISION TWO LIQUID ETHYL-SILICATE INVESTMENT KROMCO-VEST Investment is a quality two-liquid, Ethyl-Silicate investment for partial dentures. It must be used with duplicating material that is compatible with ethyl-silicate investment. DIRECTIONS PREPARATION OF LIQUID TO MIX SMALL QUANTITIES: Add 1 part of solution A to 9 parts of binder. TO PREPARE LIQUID: Empty contents of solution A into the binder bottle. Cap bottle tightly. Shake well, uncap lid to release reassure, tighten cap again and shake until liquid becomes hot approximately 140º - 150º F (60º - 66º C). Loosen the cap again to release pressure, and let stand for 1-1/2 hours before using. SPECIFICATIONS Working Time: 15 Minutes P to L Consistency: 100 gm : 19 cc Ready for Model Separation: 1 Hour Ready for Burnout: 1 Hour Burnout Teemperature: 1850º F (1010ºC) 1900º F (1038ºC) Thermal Expansion: 1.6% NOTE: Keep prepared liquid refrigerated. Do not prepare more liquid than can be used in 2-3 days. DUPLICATION Mix investment with prepared liquid (at room temperature) in a rubber bowl to medium consistency (approximately 37 cc of prepared liquid to 195 gm. of investment) and vibrate into the negative impression. Vibrate for 20 minutes. Pour off excess liquid and allow to bench set for 30 minutes. Remove model from impression and place it in a 400º F (200º C) drying oven for 30 minutes. Dip in 250º F (120º C) Niranium model dip wax for 8-10 seconds and bench cool. NOTE: It is advisable to paint waxed cases with thoroughly mixed KROMCO-VEST Investment (item # ). INVESTING Mix investment with prepared liquid (at room temperature) in a rubber bowl to a medium consistency. For average cases, use 112 cc of liquid with 600 grams of investment.

2 Vibrating investment into flask and vibrate flask for 20 minutes. Scrape off the built-up area and allow to bench set for 1 hour before placing case in furnace. SETTING: Allow case to bench set for 1 hour. Solution A controls setting time: More solution A will speed setting time while less solutions A will retard setting time.

3 KROMCO-VEST ETHYL-SILICATE INVESTMENT Burn-Out Place case in furnace and bring temperature up slowly, taking 1/2 hour to reach 500ºF (260ºC). Keep at 500ºF (260ºC). for 1/2 hour. Again, raise the temperature slowly, taking 1/2 hour to reach 1100º F (593º C). Hold at this temperature for an additional 1/2 hour. Once again, raise temperature slowly, taking 1/2 hour to reach 1850º º F (1010º º C). Heat soaks at this temperature for 1/2 hour before casting.
