1 c User Manual -osition Regulator 6604 and Kit his manual provides installation and operator instructions for Cascade's -osition Regulator. he Regulator enables up to four pressure selections, allowing the clamp force to be varied from load to load. hree pressure selections have a relief cartridge that can be adjusted to relieve pressure between 500 psi (5 bar) and 000 psi (06 bar). he fourth pressure selection (optional) does not relieve pressure and allows the system to operate at truck relief pressure. Keep this manual with the equipment for Operator reference. Adjust the relief cartridge (/6 in. Allen wrench) inward (CW) to raise pressure or outward (CCW) to lower the pressure. 7 Clamp a load and check the pressure. Readjust as required. ighten the jam nut. 8 Shift the selection lever pointer to position stamped on the Regulator body. Repeat step 6 and 7 for No. relief cartridge. 9 Shift the selection lever pointer to position stamped on the Regulator body. Repeat step 6 and 7 for No. relief cartridge. 0 With the selection lever pointer at position X, flow to the relief cartridges is blocked. to the attachment is determined by the truck system. For example, if the truck main relief is set to 800 psi (5 bar), the relief cartridge, if set higher, will not exceed a relief pressure of 800 psi (5 bar). 4 Before Using he System Before first time use or returning this equipment to service: est in a safe environment, away from pedestrians or bystanders, without lifting or supporting a load more than a few inches (centimeters) off of the floor. Verify that each selected pressure will adequately support the intended load. Use a pressure gauge to verify that the intended pressure is being reached. Disable he System o disable the -osition Regulator: Disconnect the hose from the Regulator, port. lug the return-to-tank hose. Cap the port on the Regulator with a No. 8 steel fitting plug. NOE: Disabling the system does not allow pressure to be relieved and the truck system pressure will be achieved. 4

Important Information WARNING: All operators must read and understand this section before use. WARNING: his -osition Regulator is not a safety device. It is intended to be a pressure control device to aid the operator and reduce product damage. Misuse can result in severe personal injury or death. WARNING: Operators/drivers must read and understand the Operation section of this Manual before being allowed to operate equipment with the -osition Regulator. If the operator/driver does not understand any part of the Manual, a supervisor should be asked to explain. If it is still not understood the equipment should not be used. his equipment is intended for use by a trained and authorized operator only. WARNING: Residual risk exists to bystanders and pedestrians in the work area. Do not operate this equipment near pedestrians or bystanders. Do not operate this equipment or attachment in any way not specifically described in this manual as the intended use and function. Operate only in a safe work area and in compliance with facility, local and national standards and rules. WARNING: Equipment can be HO. Do not touch or service the Regulator body, hose and fittings if the temperature is over 0o F (48o C). WARNING: Daily Inspections are required by the operator before using Cascade Corp equipment. ) Operate the equipment in a secure environment, through its full range of function before using in a work environment. ) Inspect hoses and connections for leak, damage or wear. Leaking hydraulic oil can cause a slip hazard, a fire or burns. If a problem is found, take the equipment out of service immediately and report the problem to a supervisor or qualified mechanic for assessment before returning the equipment to work. WARNING: Cascade Corp. does not evaluate the effects the accessories and attachments may have on a host system once installed. It is the industrial truck OEM or installer s responsibility to assess the effect of Cascade Corp equipment on specifications, stability, performance, operation and safe use of OEM equipment after the installation of Cascade accessories and attachments. Sound and Vibration A he Weighted Emission Sound Level (LpA) does not exceed 70 db(a). B he Value of Whole Body Vibration does not exceed 0,5 m/s. C he Value of Hand-Arm Vibration does not exceed,5 m/s. Daily Inspection Each day prior to use: Visually inspect the valve body, hoses and fittings for leaks, damage or wear. Cycle through each selection to verify that the appropriate pressure is achieved and hold that pressure long enough to observe any leaks of damage. Report any observations such as low pressure, leak, damage or wear to your supervisor Decommissioning When possible take advantage of the Cascade buyback policy to ensure maximum recycling and proper disposal to minimize environmental impact. Otherwise, dispose of non recyclable content in accordance with local laws. Note that the recycle content of this attachment is very high. 5
