4 ANATOMY of a SNOWSHOE While the basic anatomy of a snowshoe may not have changed much over 100 years, Atlas Snowshoe Co. is determined to change your snowshoe experience year after year. With 19 patents and counting, we know a thing or two about making a good thing better. Below we break down the anatomy of the Stratus and in doing so, highlight the cornerstone technologies that exemplify our commitment to innovation. ➊ BOA CLOSURE SYSTEM Stainless steel wires evenly distributes pressure across the foot for the most comfortable and secure fit. Easy, durable, on-the-fly adjustment. ➋ V-FRAME The V-shape tracks straight in deep snow and the tapered tail pulls less snow as you step forward, saving energy. The turned-up tail of the V-Frame rolls easily into each step for a natural gait. ➌ SING-ED SUSPENSION Presicion-focused, Spring-Loaded Suspension s (SLS) patented design, suspends the snowshoe close underfoot so it can move freely with its intended articulation, absorbing impact, flexing naturally side-to-side, and allowing deeper crampon penetration into the slope for an uncompromised stride. ➍ WRAPP HELIX BINDING The Wrapp Helix binding blends Atlas proven Wrapp series design with the added performance of the Boa Closure System.
