2 notus by ZEEKO After the success of NOTUS 1 & 2, the ZEEKO R&D team lead by Nicolas Caillou, designed a new complete range for This new generation takes place in CrossOver trend, which comes since 2010 with the KRUSH, versatile kite with strong Freestyle influence. The NOTUS 3rd generation differs from KRUSH by its Freeride influence. In 2011, the NOTUS relieves with only 3 inflatable struts. The tips were widened, reducting the bar pressure and improving reactive steering. Notus get a new aerodynamic profile wich improves its upwind ability. Profile was refined on the front side, the leading edgediameter reduced. It results from that an explosive kite, entertaining and lighter, but keeping a good kite solidity. These evolutions make NOTUS a perfect kite for freeride, race and especially wave riding. Then, Notus get all last ZEEKO innovations : indestructible one-pump, ERA (Easy Relaunching Assistant) 2nd generation, a revolutionnary bar with regulation of depower line length during navigation, bar pressure customisable, direct feeling.

3 color WAY bridling system BY ZEEKO The specific ZEEKO bridling system is back, with only 3 attachment points on the ledding edge decreasing the drag and giving you an unbeatable balance between reactivity and rigidity. We got just one puley on each side of the bridling system. Every part of the bridling system is specific in order to face all possible constraints. Simplicity, solidity and efficiency, this is Zeeko way since the beginning. 4 kite TRIMMING It is possible to modify the Notus handling adjusting the back bridle location. Connectors (1, 2 and 3 on the pictures) are fixed to modify quickly the behavior of the kite. Moving forward the back bridle (connector 3), the kite settles down, ideal for riders in progress and unhooked training : the bar pressure increases to have more support and the over-sheeting is almost impossible. Moving back the back bridle (connector 1), another kite appears : a handy kite, with light bar pressure, ideal for sportive navigation and waveriding. This is the favorite trimming of ZEEKO team for megaloops : hybrid style bar pressure --- turning speed : intermediary 3 : c-shape style bar pressure +++ turning speed --- behavior AND BAR FEELING This year, there are 3 struts instead of 5 on Notus : the kite is lighter with more stability. The kite profile evolves : less hollow on the frontside, involving a better upwind ability. Tips are wider, giving better control and less bar pressure. The Notus 3rd generation got more reactive steering, explodability and maniability wich improve its wave-riding ability. It keeps very good abilities in freeride and race thanks to the new aerodynamical profile.

5 notus 5,5 / 7 / 9 / 10 / 12m FREERIDE / WAVE / RACE KITE Notus is the kite which made success of Zeeko for its first year. This kite with exclusive profile, gets among the most important power for low wind range on the market, remaining controllable in high wind range. Every surface is separately thought and drawn to answer the specific constraints it imposes, and also optimized according to differents wind conditions. The key points of Notus has always been its VERSALITY. Successful in freeride and race since first generation, the R&D team concentrated on its wave-riding performances. Its sustentation and lift give it very good abilities for old-school tricks. Its depower, upwind ability and low end alows unequalled performances in freeride. Then, its stability, reactivity and maniability open a new horizon in waveriding.

6 inflating ONE-PUMP NOTUS 3 keeps the same inflating system in one point, the most reliable on the market. It is also easy to remplace. It is possible to isolate struts and leading edge using clamps. Inflating the kite is made from the INFLATE valve equipped with anti-return, whereas a simple DEFLATE valve allows a fast deflating.

7 reinforcements & CONSTRUCTION We find the same manufacturing quality present on previous NOTUS generations. The kite possesses a maximum of reinforcements positioned in critical points : here we have a solid but light kite. It results in an unequalled stability, trademark of the R&D department for several years. Velcro pockets are placed inside each tip. This system allows to switch in flash from 24m configuration to 20m of lines. You only have to disconnect then to insert the lines extensions there. They are endowed with a Velcro which closes the pocket on all its length. The use of these pockets for credit card and car keys is not recommended!

8 wind RANGE The wind range of the Notus kite is wide, we worked to deliver a kite with maximum of power in low end and an exclusive comfort in their high windrange ; indeed, we use smaller kites for the same given wind. On the other hand, with the Zeeko bar, it is possible to change with the lengthes of lines to increase this wind range. Values for a 75 kg rider using with a 135x40 board M 10M 9m 12M 2 = 9-20 knots 10M 2 = knots 9M 2 = knots 7M 2 = knots 5M 2 = 23 - max 7m TAKE CARE : these values are indicatives and depend on several parameters. Shift the windrange by 3 knots per 15 kg. Ex: For a 60 kg rider, the windrange of the 10m changes to 9-22 knots. For a 90 kg rider, the windrange of the 9m changes to knots.
