8 PORTABLE POOL FENCE PORTABLE POOL FENCE Portable pool fencing is suitable for all types of pools. It is easily installed, with no need to concrete in posts. Cartridge Filter pumps and Sand pumps. The key with pumps is to make sure you have the right size pump to clean your pool water. The bigger the pool the larger the pump you need. To keep your pool healthy the water in the pool must be completely cycled at least every 6 hours. CARTRIDGE FILTER PUMPS Cartridge filters use a pleated polyester cartridge to filter the water. One advantage of this type of filter is that the plumbing of the filter easier. 9 INSTALLATION HINTS Many pools come with a handy DVD to guide you through installation however our Clark Rubber experts have also developed a list of handy tips to help set up. PREPARATION Make sure you are installing the pool on a flat surface. Sweep or rake the area you intend to install you pool on and remove any objects (sticks etc) to make sure you don t have a puncture risk. We recommend putting down a ground cloth to protect and cushion the bottom of the pool. Be organised: lay out all of the parts and the liner and group them according to the steps in the installation guide. Take care when opening the pool packaging as sharp tools just as knives can damage the contents. Always follow the installation guide included in the pool packaging. If in doubt contact your local store for advice rather than get creative if a problem arises with installation. LINER PUMP INSTALLATION Make sure all your connections are tightly connected to avoid leakages. Always follow the instructions. Never let your pump run dry. If you have any issues with your pump get in touch with your local Clark Rubber store for help. PACKING UP Ensure you wipe it down after you have emptied it and dried it out. Fold carefully, ensuring you have packed up all of the components. However, If you misplace a part we carry a wide range of replacement parts. Store in a cool dry place that is not exposed to direct sunlight. Any questions speak to Clark Rubber stores. Never ever trim the liner or use a sharp object, such as a knife, around the liner. S SUPERVISION Users of the pool MUST always be supervised by an adult who is a competent swimmer and knows pool rules and emergency procedures. The supervisor must be in the pool surroundings at all times. A AUSTSWIM Water safety is of paramount importance to all families. Swimming and water safety skills help save lives as well as add enjoyment of your pool fun. Clark Rubber strongly advocates everyone be taught to swim at an AUSTSWIM Swim Centre. F FENCE Clark Rubber recommends installing fences with childproof locks on gates for every pool in Australia. The gates should be locked at all times. Faulty locks must be fixed immediately. Make sure there is nothing that can be climbed on to open the gate or get over the fence. E EMERGENCIES Be prepared for emergencies. Have a long pole, a ring buoy with a throwing line and a first aid kit close at hand. Keep emergency numbers handy. Get up to date training in lifesaving, first aid & CPR. R RULES Establish pool rules and post them near the pool. Make sure all the family and friends know the rules. Don t make exceptions! IN ADDITION TO THE S.A.F.E.R. MESSAGE, THESE ADDED POOL SAFETY TIPS ARE VITALLY IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE TO FOLLOW: When using chemicals never add the water to the chemical. Always fill the bucket with water first and then add the chemical that is being used. Always rinse the bucket well after use. Never mix different chemicals together in the same container. Make sure everyone is well protected from harmful UV exposure. Use a recognised waterproof sunscreen. Always store chemicals in a safe, dry, well ventilated place away from reach of children and animals. Always use a solar blanket to help reduce evaporation and protect our precious water resources. Never jump or dive into the pool.

10 POOL MAINTENANCE Our experts have pulled together some of our top tips for a happy healthy pool all summer. Make sure you keep the chemical levels in your pool to a safe range. Too much or too little can lead to issues. Our in-store experts are more than happy to help.
