Whilst the door allows easy access for one member of the family to enter the bath to take a shower it still allows others to use the bath in the conventional manner. So you are not forced to replace a bath with a shower just because one family member can no longer climb over the bath side to take a shower. Yes, the Duet gives you the best of both worlds. Note that there is no rigid built-in seat to the Duet so the bather can still lie down in the full length (5ft 6ins or 5ft). 10 Hydro Therapy We offer a Hydro Therapy option on all our baths as we know that a lot of people want to enjoy this facility. Many of you may already have had the pleasure of soothing the aches and pains with the jets of air and the millions of bubbles playing on your back, feet and legs etc. and want to enjoy that again. Others perhaps have heard about it but are not sure, well we do believe it helps but we have been very selective in the system which we incorporate in our baths. There are basically only two types of systems in general use in Europe the whirlpool system and the air spa system. The whirlpool uses jets of water (some add air to the water) and the air spa which only uses air jets. The whirlpool type does not fully drain down when it is emptied and therefore is susceptible to the water becoming stagnant or unhealthy unless cleansed. That is why all whirlpool manufacturers stipulate the frequent maintenance using cleansing chemicals. The air spa system is a little dearer, however it has more jets and, most importantly, the WIBCO system does not require any user maintenance at all as it is fully automatic and does not even use chemicals. Unfortunately Hydro Therapy does not cure the aches and pains of arthritis, rheumatism or the many other problems associated with growing older but it is generally acknowledged as being beneficial and giving relief, albeit in the short term but then most pleasures are short term, aren t they?
