It is the sixth Challenger on the 2014 USTA Pro Circuit calendar and is one of five USTA Pro Circuit men s events held in Illinois. He peaked at No. 43 in the world in 2012, when he reached three tour semifinals. In 2013, Harrison reached the semifinals of the Emirates Airline US Open Series event in Atlanta, advanced to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open tune-up event in Sydney and reached the second round of the Australian Open and the French Open (losing to John Isner in five sets in Paris). Harrison also won the $50,000 USTA Pro Circuit Challenger in Savannah, Ga. Klahn earned a main draw wild card into the 2013 US Open based on his summer hard-court results on the USTA Pro Circuit, which included a victory at the $100,000 Challenger in Aptos, Calif., and a runner-up finish at the $50,000 Challenger in Binghamton, N.Y. Klahn won the 2010 NCAA men s singles title for Stanford University, and he was a collegiate All-American in 2010, 2011 and Following his pro debut in 2012, Klahn received a wild card into qualifying at the 2012 US Open and 2013 Winnetka singles runner-up Bradley Klahn peaked at No. 63 in the world in March. He won the 2010 NCAA men s singles title for Stanford.

2 subsequently won three matches to advance to the main draw, where he upset Top 50 player Jurgen Melzer in the first round. In doing so, Klahn became the first men s qualifying wild card to win a round at the US Open. In 2013, he led the USTA Pro Circuit in prize money after reaching five USTA Pro Circuit singles finals and winning two singles titles. He also served as a practice partner for the U.S. Davis Cup team in Jacksonville, Fla., earlier that year. Klahn trains with the USTA Player Development program at the USTA Training Center West in Carson, Calif. Denis Kudla, who broke into the Top 100 for the first time in 2013 after advancing to the second round of the US Open and Wimbledon and competing in a number of Emirates Airline US Open Series events. He qualified for the 2013 French Open and reached the quarterfinals of the ATP Wimbledon warm-up event at Queens Club his best ATP result. Also in 2013, Kudla won the $50,000 USTA Pro Circuit Challenger in Tallahassee, Fla., for his fifth USTA Pro Circuit singles title. This year, Kudla qualified for the Australian Open and won his opening-round match at Wimbledon. He competed in the 2012 US Open as a wild card and also finished the 2012 USTA Pro Circuit season as the top ATP points earner among Americans and the leader in prize money. Kudla was formerly ranked No. 3 in the world junior rankings and reached the boys singles final at the 2010 US Open, where he lost to Jack Sock in three sets. Kudla has served as a Davis Cup practice partner. He was born in the Ukraine and came to the U.S. with his parents on his first birthday. Kudla trains with the USTA Player Development program at the USTA Training Center Headquarters in Boca Raton, Fla and 2010 Winnetka singles runner-up Tim Smyczek, who broke into the Top 100 in 2013 after advancing to the third round of the US Open, where he lost a tight five-setter to then-no. 43 Marcel Granollers. The US Open highlighted the strongest summer of Smyczek s career; he also advanced to the second round of the Emirates Airline US Open Series events in Washington, D.C., and Winston-Salem, N.C., and qualified for Atlanta. Also in 2013, the 5-foot-9 Smyczek advanced to the second round of the Australian Open, defeating 6-foot-11 Ivo Karlovic in the opening round. Smyczek holds three USTA Pro Circuit Challenger titles, and this year he reached the semifinals of the $50,000 Challenger in Maui, Hawaii. Smyczek regularly trains at Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa, Fla., and once lived with fellow American Mardy Fish for a year while training there. Alex Kuznetsov, the 2004 junior French Open runner-up (to Gael Monfils), who earned a main-draw wild card into the 2013 French Open by winning the Har-Tru USTA Pro Circuit Wild Card Challenge via his results on the USTA Pro Circuit. Following the French Open, Kuznetsov qualified for Wimbledon. Also in 2013, he won the $50,000 USTA Pro Circuit Challenger in Binghamton, N.Y., and qualified for and advanced to the second round of the Emirates Airline US Open Series event in Washington, D.C., where he lost to John Isner. Those results drove Kuznetsov s ranking up to a career-high No Kuznetsov comes to Winnetka after qualifying for Wimbledon, where he lost to No. 16 seed Fabio Fognini in a tough five-setter. In 2012, Kuznetsov qualified for the Australian Open, falling to Rafael Nadal in the first round. A native of Kiev, Ukraine, where his grandfather was a handball champion, Kuznetsov suffered a severe leg injury in a 2005 car accident and needed a titanium rod and screw placed in his right leg. He came back to play in his first US Open main draw in Jarmere Jenkins, who last year completed his college tennis career at the University of Virginia, where he nearly won the NCAA triple crown. He led the Cavaliers to the NCAA team title Virginia s first ever won the NCAA doubles championship with teammate Mac Styslinger and also reached the NCAA singles final. Jenkins was named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association s National Player of the Year for 2013 and ended the season as college tennis No. 1-ranked singles player. He reached the final round of qualifying at the 2013 US Open and won his first career USTA Pro Circuit title at the $10,000 Futures in Rochester, N.Y. This year, he won ITF-level singles and doubles events in Australia. Jenkins is one of nine children, several of whom are adopted from various backgrounds. His family was even featured once on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Several of Jenkins siblings have played tennis competitively, and two of his brothers, Jackie Jr. (Northwestern) and Jermaine (Clemson), played NCAA Division I college tennis. Michael Russell, who is the men s all-time leader in USTA Pro Circuit singles titles with 24. With his victory at the $75,000 Challenger in Charlottesville, Va., in 2013, Russell became the oldest USTA Pro Circuit singles champion (35 years, 6 months, 2 days). Russell upset then-no. 9 Mardy Fish en route to the semifinals of the ATP World Tour event in Houston in April 2012 and, in summer 2013, he reached the semifinals of the ATP grass-court event in Newport, R.I. his career-best ATP results. He also reached the semifinals of the ATP event in Memphis in 2014 as a qualifier and has consistently competed in all four Grand Slam events. In 2001, Russell achieved his best Grand Slam tournament result by reaching the fourth round of the French Open, where he pushed eventual champion Gustavo Kuerten to five sets singles champion Rajeev Ram, who has established himself as a steady presence in the Top 50 of the world doubles rankings, reaching the second round or better at all four Grand Slam events in doubles, including the quarterfinals at the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon, and peaking at No. 33 in the world in doubles in In 2012, he reached the doubles quarterfinals at the French Open and Australian Open, and he reached the round of 16 in doubles at the US Open in 2013 with Brian Baker. Overall, Ram has won seven ATP World Tour doubles crowns. In 2009, he won his first ATP singles crown in Newport, R.I., where he also captured the doubles title. In 2012, he reached the singles semifinals of the Emirates Airline US Open Series event in Los Angeles, losing to Sam Querrey, two weeks after advancing to the semis in Newport. Ram advanced to the singles semifinals of the ITF Wimbledon tune-up event in Nottingham, Great Britain, this month, while also winning the doubles title. An Indiana state high school champion, Ram played collegiately at the University of Illinois for one semester in 2003 and helped the Illini win the school s first NCAA team title. Austin Krajicek, who was a five-time All-American at Texas A&M and the 2011 NCAA men s doubles champion with Jeff Dadamo. In singles this year, Krajicek reached the quarterfinals or better at four USTA Pro Circuit and ITF-level events and advanced to the doubles semifinals or better at five events. Krajicek also had a strong season on the USTA Pro Circuit in 2013, winning two Futures singles titles and three doubles titles (two Challengers) to crack the Top 250 for the first time in his career. A standout junior player, he won the 2008 USTA Boys 18s National Championships, earning a wild card into the 2008 US Open men s singles main draw. Krajicek, a distant relative of former Wimbledon champion Richard Krajicek, has been a practice partner for the U.S. Davis Cup team on three occasions. Notable players competing in qualifying include: Robby Ginepri, who earlier this year returned to the French Open for the first time since 2010 after winning the 2014 Har-Tru USTA Pro Circuit Wild Card Challenge to earn a wild card into main draw. He

3 won the $50,000 Challenger in Tallahassee, Fla., to clinch the wild card. Ginepri is the only active U.S. man to have advanced to a Grand Slam semifinal (2005 US Open, where he lost to Andre Agassi in five sets). He was one of the top Americans in the world in the mid-2000s, winning three ATP singles titles. Ginepri has reached the fourth round or better at all four Grand Slam events and peaked at No. 15 in the world in He has also competed for the U.S. in Davis Cup (2004) and the Olympics (2008). He has struggled with injuries in recent years Winnetka singles runner-up and doubles champion Bobby Reynolds, who is a 10-plus veteran of the ATP World Tour and holds the record for the most career singles and doubles titles on the USTA Pro Circuit, capturing his 31st USTA Pro Circuit title by winning the doubles title at the $50,000 Challenger in Napa, Calif., in September Reynolds ascended to a career-best No. 63 in He has reached the second round or better at all four Grand Slam events in his career, including the third round at Wimbledon in He won his only ATP doubles title in 2006 in Indianapolis with Andy Roddick. Reynolds played at Vanderbilt University for three seasons ( ) before turning pro after his junior year. He finished No. 1 in the ITA collegiate rankings in 2003 and led the Commodores to NCAA final in Former University of Michigan standout Jason Jung, who won his second professional title last summer at the $10,000 Futures in Edwardsville, Ill. This March, Jung reached the final of the $15,000 USTA Pro Circuit Futures in Calabasas, Calif., and earlier this year he won his second USTA Pro Circuit doubles title at the $10,000 Futures in Weston, Fla. Jung spent most of this spring competing overseas in ITF-level events in Korea and China. At Michigan, he received All-Big Ten honors in 2010 and 2011 and played in the NCAA Championships twice. He ranks fourth all-time in Wolverines history with 88 career doubles wins. Mitchell Krueger, who was the top-ranked American junior boy in 2012, peaking at a career-high No. 5 in the world junior rankings. Krueger advanced to the boys singles semifinals at the French Open and Wimbledon in 2012 and turned pro that July. Krueger captured his first pro singles title last year while competing overseas at a claycourt ITF event in the Netherlands. Krueger is ranked a career-high No. 330 in the world after a strong spring in which he reached the singles final at two USTA Pro Circuit events and two additional singles finals at ITF-level events in Italy. Eric Quigley, the 2012 NCAA singles runner-up who played for the University of Kentucky. Quigley is one of the most decorated tennis players in Wildcats history, earning five All-America honors between singles and doubles. In 2008, he became the first Kentucky player in 34 years to win four straight high school state singles titles. He captured his first pro title last summer at the $10,000 Futures in Decatur, Ill. This year, Quigley reached the singles final at the $15,000 USTA Pro Circuit clay-court event in Boynton Beach, Fla., and won the first two USTA Pro Circuit doubles titles of his career. Jeff Dadamo, who earned a wild card into the 2013 US Open Qualifying Tournament by winning the US Open National Playoffs men s title (out of 649 men who competed). Dadmo will be returning to the US Open National Playoffs - Championships this year after winning the USTA Florida sectional qualifying tournament in June. Dadamo has won two USTA Pro Circuit doubles titles and one singles title during his career. He graduated from Texas A&M in 2011, where he won the NCAA men s doubles title with Austin Krajicek. Evan King, a 2013 graduate of the University of Michigan, who was a three-time All-American ( ) and the Big Ten Athlete of the Year in 2012 and King owns the program record for most combined career singles and doubles wins (196), and he ranks third all-time on Michigan s singles wins list with 117. In the pro ranks, King has captured eight doubles titles on the USTA Pro Circuit and in Canada. He started the 2014 season strong, qualifying for and advancing to the singles quarterfinals at the $100,000 Challenger in Dallas. He has also won four USTA Pro Circuit doubles titles this year, including three in March. Dennis Nevolo, who advanced to his first career USTA Pro Circuit singles final in 2013 at the $15,000 Futures in Mansfield, Texas. In addition, he has excelled in doubles, winning two Futures titles on the USTA Pro Circuit in 2013, both with Jean-Yves Aubone. This year, Nevolo reached the singles quarterfinals or better at four USTA Pro Circuit events. He graduated in 2012 from the University of Illinois, where he was ranked as high as No. 2 in the NCAA men s singles rankings. Jared Donaldson, who has competed in the junior US Open and represented the U.S. in Junior Davis Cup (16 and under). For the first half of this year, Donaldson competed overseas in ITF-level events in Turkey, where he won his first singles title and reached one additional final and two semifinals. He also qualified for the main draw of the $50,000 USTA Pro Circuit Challenger in Maui, Hawaii, and won his first USTA Pro Circuit singles title earlier this month at the $15,000 Futures in Tulsa, Okla., where he also reached the doubles final. Many current and former ATP World Tour stars have found success in Winnetka. Sam Querrey, the 2006 singles champion, peaked at No. 17 in the world in January 2011 after strong results on the ATP World Tour but was forced to undergo right elbow surgery that June. Buoyed by his results on the USTA Pro Circuit, Querrey climbed back up the rankings in 2012, capped by winning his seventh career ATP title at the Emirates Airline US Open Series event in Los Angeles. Subsequently, he advanced to the third round of the US Open and reached three ATP semifinals that year. Querrey has advanced to the round of 16 at Wimbledon and the US Open in his career and has been a stalwart of the U.S. Davis Cup team. He also holds four ATP doubles titles, including two with John Isner, 2011 singles champion and 1999 doubles champion James Blake utilized Winnetka to stage a comeback on the ATP World Tour. Blake peaked at No. 4 in the world in 2006 after reaching the final of the Tennis Masters Cup, the season-ending championships of the ATP World Tour. In his 14-year career, Blake won 10 singles titles and seven doubles titles, and he was a longtime member of the U.S. Davis Cup team, helping lead the U.S. to the Davis Cup title in Blake retired during last year s US Open. Todd Martin, the singles runner-up in Winnetka in 1989 and 1991, went on to reach the final of the 1999 US Open and 1994 Australian Open. He peaked at No. 4 in the world and captured eight career ATP singles titles. He currently serves on the USTA s Board of Directors.

5 USTA PRO CIRCUIT With approximately 90 tournaments hosted annually throughout the country and prize money ranging from $10,000 to $100,000, the USTA Pro Circuit is the pathway to the US Open and tour-level competition for aspiring tennis players and a frequent battleground for established professionals. Celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2014, the USTA Pro Circuit provides players with the opportunity to gain professional ranking points, and it has grown to become the largest developmental tennis circuit in the world, offering nearly $3 million in prize money. Last year, more than 1,000 men and women from more than 70 countries competed in cities nationwide. Mardy Fish, Maria Sharapova, John Isner, Caroline Wozniacki, Sam Querrey, Victoria Azarenka and Andy Murray are among today s top stars who began their careers on the USTA Pro Circuit. More recently, the USTA Pro Circuit helped launch the careers of two young Americans Bradley Klahn and Shelby Rogers. Former Stanford standout and 2010 NCAA champion Klahn was the 2013 USTA Pro Circuit Prize Money Leader with $50,606 in earnings, reaching five USTA Pro Circuit singles finals and winning two singles titles: the $15,000 Futures in Costa Mesa, Calif., in March, and the $100,000 Challenger in Aptos, Calif., in August. The two singles titles were the first USTA Pro Circuit singles crowns of his career. Klahn also earned a USTA wild card into the 2013 US Open through a wild card challenge incorporating USTA Pro Circuit events. Klahn finished 2013 ranked in the Top 100 for the first time in his career after starting the year ranked outside the Top 250. Rogers was the 2013 women s USTA Pro Circuit Prize Money Leader with $36,308 in earnings, winning three singles Joyce Tartar-Rideout Bradley Klahn titles with prize money of $50,000 or more ($50,000 events in Charlottesville, Va., and Lexington, Ky., and the $75,000 event in Albuquerque, N.M.). Rogers also earned a USTA wild card into both the French Open and the US Open by winning wild card challenges for the two Grand Slam tournaments utilizing a series of USTA Pro Circuit events. In her debut at the 2013 French Open, Rogers won her first round match. She peaked at No. 116 in the world in October 2013, rising more than 100 spots throughout the year. Both Klahn and Rogers train with the USTA Player Development program. PLAYER DEVELOPMENT The USTA Player Development program identifies and develops the next generation of American champions by surrounding the top junior players and young pros with the resources, facilities and coaching they need to reach their maximum potential. The Player Development program is based at the USTA Training Center Headquarters in Boca Raton, Fla., and also utilizes Training Centers in Carson, Calif., and Flushing, N.Y., as well as a series of Certified Regional Training Centers located throughout the continental United States. YOUTH TENNIS The USTA is making it easier and more fun for kids to get into the game and stay in the game. Kids are learning to play faster than ever before through the USTA s youth initiative, which is geared toward getting more kids to participate in tennis using modified equipment and courts tailored to a child s size. NJTL Founded in 1969 by Arthur Ashe, along with Charlie Pasarell and Sheridan Snyder, the USTA/National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) network is a nationwide group of more than 625 non-profit youth development organizations that provide free or low-cost tennis, education and life skills programming to more than 350,000 children each year. Celebrating its 44th anniversary this year, NJTL is one of the USTA s largest community-based offerings.. US OPEN NATIONAL PLAYOFFS The USTA launched the US Open National Playoffs in 2010, making the US Open open to anyone age 14+ and of all skill levels. A mixed doubles element also was held, with the winning team earning a main draw mixed doubles wild card. Mayo Hibi, a 17-year-old Japanese player living in Irvine, Calif., won the 2013 US Open National Playoffs women s title and USTA Pro Circuit regular Jeff Dadamo of Tampa, Fla., won the men s wild card.
