14 5 steps to smooth registration Step 1: Arrive with FOUR team members Step 2: Ensure all paperwork has been completed Step 3: Enter the registration tent as a team of 4 and collect your bibs Step 4: Put your bibs on whilst moving in the queue Step 5 : Hand over all final paperwork to the Oxfam team

21 EVENT RULES Ensure you have read and understood all the event rules! Rule 17: Every team must have a support crew and must be selfsufficient. Rule 20: Teams are asked to respect residential and local parking regulations. Rule 21: Participants must keep noise levels to a minimum when walking in residential areas. Rule 22: Teams must carry a minimum of two mobile phones- One on Telstra. Rule 23: Each team must carry at least one first aid kit including four thermal blankets. Rule 29: Slower teams must give way to those teams travelling at a faster pace. Rule 30: Teams are strictly forbidden to meet their support crew outside the checkpoints.
22 The trail Take care when passing, let the faster teams go ahead Pace yourself, enjoy the amazing experience Rest if fatigued and listen to your body hydrate and eat well. 23 In an emergency What s your nearest trailmarker number? Call Oxfam Trailwalker Emergency Number (on bib) If no answer, then call 000 or 112 if no reception with your carrier. Stay where you are and assistance will be sent to you Never leave an injured person alone!
24 Safety protocols All team members must be sighted at Check-in & Check-out. No exceptions! Teams must Check-in on arrival and separately Check-out when leaving. Do not Check-in & out if you are staying at the Checkpoint for any length of time! Retirement stickers issued to each retired walker. These must be visible on the remaining walkers bib for each subsequent Checkpoint. Teams of 2 or less must walk with another team to ensure a safe walking group

37 Sleeping - zzzzzzzz Private camping at Checkpoint 4 & 6 only Notify the Check-in staff at the Checkpoint if leaving the trail to sleep elsewhere Check-in and then inform Checkpoint Coordinator you are leaving the site You must be back before Checkpoint closing time. Do not oversleep!
38 Waste management Event generates several tonnes of waste each year Use the Waste Station at each Checkpoint to separate your waste Assist our wonderful Green Team volunteers. Use the provided landfill, co mingle and paper bins only Support crews to bring reusable or recyclable materials Support crews bring a lot of stuff to our checkpoints - please take as much as possible home to reduce the strain on our resources Environmental Audit on event
