1 TOURNAMENT RULES The Southampton Soccer November Classic will be played in accordance with FIFA Laws of the game except as modified. This is a patch-tournament the exchange of club patches after games is encouraged Registration ORIGINAL STATE ROSTER plus player pass cards and medical release forms for each player MUST be presented at registration or team/player DO NOT participate. Teams may have no more than 18 players (U8 U12 8v8) teams may have no more than 14 players). Three (3) guest players per team will be permitted as long as they are currently USYSA registered and possess a stamped player pass card in the correct age group. No player may play for more than one team during the Tournament. Approved Permission to Travel forms must be received for all teams traveling from outside of PA. Rosters must have State Association stamp/seal to be approved. If they do not, it will be declare invalid, and team will not be able to participate until a valid roster is presented. Registration will be as follows: 30 minutes before your first game. Registrations will be held at your assigned venue Schaefer Fields, Southampton Estates Fields, or William Tennent High School Complex A. Ball Size- Each team will supply their own. U13-U14: Size 5 U9-U12: Size 4 U8: Size 3 B. Game Duration U12 U14 (11v11) 50 minutes (2-25 min halves) Half-time: 5 minutes U8 - U12 (8 v 8) 40 minutes (2-20 min halves) Half-time: 5 minutes C. Substitutions Unlimited substitutions will permission of referee: 1. After a goal 2. At half-time 3. On goal kicks 4. Throw-ins upon possession or if opponent is substituting 5. Injury (any number of players from both teams may be substituted whenever an injury has occurred after being beckoned onto the field by the referee. 6. Cautioned player (cautioned player only) 7. Start of an overtime period All substitutes shall inform the referee of the field that they wish to enter the game prior to the time they are entitled to enter the game as a substitute. The substitute must wait until the referee signals for OK for them to enter the field

2 D. Home Team & Team/Spectator Location Team listed first is the designated Home Team and must change jerseys when the referee determines a conflict to exist. For both teams, players & coaches take one side of field supporters & spectators will take the opposite side of field. E. Forfeits NO forfeit will be allowed without the permission of the tournament director. The score will be counted 3-0. F. Inclement Weather & Refund Policy Per Tournament application, before commencement of the tournament, if any Acts of God (e.g. weather) force its cancellation, one-half of the entry fee will be returned: otherwise, no refunds after the tournament has begun. The Tournament Director reserves the right to make the following changes in the event of inclement weather: a) Relocate and/or reschedule a match; b) Change a division structure; c) Reduce schedule duration of a match; d) Cancel a match In the event of inclement weather forcing play to be halted and preventing the match from completing during the scheduled time, the score shall stand if at least one half of the match has been completed. The tournament director will have the final decision on field closure. G. Player s Equipment All players MUST wear shin guards. No jewelry or metal rimmed glassesd allowed. Casts, splints or body braces made of a hard substance in its final form such as leather, rubber, plastic, plaster, or fiberglass must be covered on all exterior surfaces with no less than 8 th inch thick, high density polyurethane, or an alternate material of the same thickness and similar physical properties to protect the injury. A medical release for the injured player signed by a licensed physician must be available at the game site. H. Rules for Advancement Teams will play within their respective division. Game points shall determine the winners first. 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, and 0 points for a loss. If teams are tied in the standings, the following criteria will be used to determine the team s order of finish and/or placement in any subsequent playoff. 1. Head to Head Competition (used only if 2 teams tied) 2. Fewest goals allowed 3. Bonus points (Difference between TOTAL goals scored and TOTAL goals allowed) based on no more than 3 per game. If a team is winning by 4 goals, the losing team has the option of continuing the match. (EX: Game 2-0, winning team +2, losing team 2) (EX: Game 4-0, winning team gets maximum of +3) 4. Penalty kicks, 20 minutes prior to championship game. When the tiebreaker system is used, the criteria are followed from 1 through 4 until only one team remains

3 Resolving Ties in Championship Match: If the championship match is tied at the end of regulation time, the teams will be given a five minute rest and then 1 ten minute sudden death overtime period will be played. This applies to all age groups. If still tied after the overtime period is completed, the champion will be decided using the FIFA penalty kick procedure. I. Placement of Division Bracket of 6: Will be divided into two 3 team divisions. Each team will play a 2 game round robin schedule. The 3 rd game for each team will be 3 rd Pl Orange vs. 3 rd Pl Blue; 2 nd Pl Orange vs. 2 nd Pl Blue & 1 st Pl Orange vs. 1 st Pl Blue to determine Champion & Runnerup. Division of 7 or 5 or 4: Each team will play 1 three game round robin schedule. The first and second place will be determined after the games are played. The top two teams are determined by points per (H) Rules for Advancement and this decides Champion & Runnerup. J. Protest There will be no protests. All officiating decisions are final. Don t like a referee call, unfortunately it will do no good to complain except make you feel better. K. Sideline Behavior Both teams will sit on the same side of the field. Only coaches and trainers may stay on the player s sideline. Harassment of the officials from coaches, spectators, parents, or players will not be tolerated. L. Send Offs If a player received a red card or two yellow cards during a match, that player will sit out the rest of that match and also their next match. A coach or other authorized bench personnel sent off during a match must leave the field immediately upon being sent off, and must remain away from the field during the team s next match. Game will not resume until the coach has left the field. If he/she does not, their team forfeits the game. M. NO Alcohol NO alcoholic beverages are allowed in the park or the parking lot of any of the game sites. O. NO Dogs No dogs are permitted on any Southampton Soccer field by Township Ordinance 783. This ordinance is a $500 fine to the person/persons who violate this. P. Awards All awards/shirts presentations will be at the fields where your bracket has played unless otherwise instructed by the Tournament Director

4 R. Parking Please make sure that all your parents pay attention to local parking signs. At Gravel Hill/Schaefer Field please pay attention to No Parking signs as violators will be towed At Southampton Estates/Dairy Queen please pay attention to the parking spot lines. Parking is only allowed in the upper lot in the assigned Dairy Queen spots (Dairy Queen in closed for the season) NOT near Mad Golfer. Parking in the Mad Golfer lot is at your own risk and you risk having your car towed from this private establishment - 4 -

Take Rte 1 South and immediately exit on PA Rte. 132 Street Road West and go approximately 6 miles then ****To Southampton Estates/Dairy Queen Crossover 2 nd Street Pike(PA Rte 232). After next light, turn left into Dairy Queen. Turn left again into Field Lot. DO NOT PARK IN THE DAIRY QUEEN/GOLF LOT! ****To William Tennent: Crossover 2 nd Street Pike(PA Rte 232). At the 4 th traffic light, turn left on Centennial Road. Fields are on the right about 50 yards down the road. ****To Klinger Middle School: Turn right on 2 nd Street Pike(PA Rte 232). After 1 st light, turn right into school and continue all the way around to the back of the school. The fields are down past the track field, down the hill. They are not visible from the parking lot. ****To Willi Schaefer/Gravel Hill Complex: Approximately 6 miles from turnpike, turn left on Gravel Hill Road. Fields are ¼ mile on the right. ********************************************************************* From Doylestown: Take Route 313 to 263 South. Turn left on Bristol Road then. ****To William Tennent: Go 3 lights and turn right on Davisville Road. Turn right on Street Road(Rte 132 west). At 1 st light turn left on Centennial Road. Fields are on the right about 50 yards down the road. ****To Southampton Estates/Dairy Queen: Go 3 lights and turn right on Davisville Road. Turn left on Street Road(PA Rte. 232). Turn Right into Dairy Queen. DO NOT PARK IN THE DAIRY QUEEN/GOLF LOT. Park by the fields. ****To Klinger Middle School: Go 4 lights and turn right on 2 nd Street Pike(PA Rte 232). Turn left before you get to the 1 st light. Park in the back lot behind the school. The fields are down past the track/football field, down the hill. They are not visible from the parking lot. ****To Willi Schaefer/Gravel Hill Complex: Go 4 lights and turn right on 2 nd Street Pike(PA Rte 232). Turn left on Street Road(PA Rte 132 East). Go 3 lights and turn right on Gravel Hill Road. Field is ¼ mile on right. ******************************************************************** From Willow Grove/Horsham: Take Route 611 north to Meetinghouse Road and turn right and follow to end. Turn right on County Line Road. Cross over York Road(PA Rte 263) and then. ****William Tennent: Go 5 lights and turn left on Centennial Road. Follow through curves for 1 mile and the fields are on the left by the Rescue Station. ****To Southampton Estates/Dairy Queen: Go 7 lights and turn left on Davisville Road. Turn right at next light(street Road, PA Rte 132). Turn right into Dairy Queen and park in the field lot. DO NOT PARK IN DAIRY QUEEN/GOLF LOT. ****To Willi Schaefer/Gravel Hill Complex: Go 10 lights and turn left on 2 nd Street Pike(PA Rte 232). Crossover Turnpike and turn right at 1 st light(industrial Highway). Turn left at stop sign. Fields are on the left. ****To Klinger Middle School: Go 10 lights and turn left on 2 nd Street Pike(PA Rte 232). Crossover Street Road(PA Rte 132. After 1 st light, turn right into school and park behind the school. Fields are not visible from parking lot. They are past the track/football field and down over the hill
