1 Dear fellow coaches We are proudly to announce the 5th German Team Bowl (GTB). This team event will be a part of the German tournament series mainly set before the big team events (e.g. Eurobowl/World Cup) As the title mainly pronounces we also invite every interested coach outside Germany. To be eligible for this team event you need three more coaches to form up a team of 4. There is no limitation to your local league or to your federal state to form your team so this means that even 4 individual players are eligible to take part as a performing team. For this year the ruleset we use are the same rules as they will be at EuroBowl 2018 in Wales. So this will be a good chance to find out how good your performance as a team will be before you enter the Eurobowl. Team building Your Team consists of 4 coaches. Gladly we encourage you to form your team out of your league or within your federal state. As mentioned above this is not mandatory and mixed teams or players outside Germany are more than welcome. All 24 teams of the CRB are permitted. Please note that your team must choose 4 different races! Brettonian Teams and Khorne Teams are allowed, too. You will find both rosters at the end of the PDF. In case you can t find one or two team members to form your team please contact us. We will look for the additional players so that you can take part. For this case we prepare a list of individual attendees to form up team. So now don t hesitate and prove your team skills during the German Team Bowl 2018 at September 1st & 2nd Yours Arioso - 1 -

2 REGISTRATION & DEADLINE There is an early Bird Price for registration until May 31st Please note to complete all 4 steps below within your registration: For registration or questions please use the adress: arioso@dbbc-ev.de 1. Transfer tournament money of 160 Euro/per Team (=40 Euro per player). From June 1 st it will be 45 per player. The data of bank details will be written in the replay to your registry. We appreciate transfers for the whole team done by the team captain. Money is preferred via bank transfer, but PayPal is possible, too. The tournament fee includes the tournament itself (with some gimmicks, of course) and lunch on both days at the venue. Special food restrictions can be taken care of. Just send them in your registration (best before July 1 st, because the kitchen asked to get that much time to prepare) 1. Send the team rosters in advance done through the team captain. Within the roster you have to number each player in the race and also name all skills. 2. Announce your Team Name and your Team Captain. In case that you register as an individual player we try to form a team for you. As this is mainly a team event we strongly suggest you to try to convince some friends. 3. Date of arrival (Friday or Saturday). This helps us to plan the social activities during the evenings (see below). Sunday, September 2nd 2018 Activity Entry and registration Game 1 Break Game 2 Break/Lunch Game 3 Break/Tables/Result/Winning Ceremony Lunch will be taken at the venue at the Mensa. We politely please you to register in time when you have reached the venue at both days. The tournament committee has the right to modify the beginning and the duration of each round if necessary. CATERING Lunch will be included on both days at the venue. You are free to take your own drinks and food to the venue. But beware as we are playing in a youth hostel there will be youngsters around, so please behave properly. There is a Shop in the Youth Hostel where you can buy Drinks and Snacks

4 ACCOMODATION When registering you'll get a special code and the phone number of the youth hostel. We have made a special deal for accommodation and have a contingent of about 40beds reserved. We only have a few single rooms reserved so please, whenever you can group up! If you want some more comfort than a youth hostel, there are plenty of options of Hostels and Hotels in walking distance of the venue. EVENING EVENT(s) For Saturday evening we plan a night at a local pub. PARKING We strongly suggest to not come by car as parking and driving in cologne can be quite ennerving. There is limited parking space at the venue itself (35 Slots) that costs 6 /day. The venue is directly opposite of a railway station. There are some options to park your car nearby (none of them free), if you are looking for paid parking just follow the signs to the parking lots of cologne trade fair or KölnArena (which is the large Arena nearby). Both are close to the venue. The Railway station Köln-Deutz is directly opposite of the venue connected to all nearby airports (Cologne, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt) and all of them are within reach of one hour by local trains. Usually those trains depart 1-3 times every hour. Cologne Main Station is a 10min. walk over the famous Hohenzollern Bridge past the more famous Cologne Cathedral. Cologne Main Station is well connected to all Cities all over Europe including Paris and London (about 3-4h each) TOURNAMENT RULES We use the rule set based on the Eurobowl 2018 setup. Each coach must play a different race. Only one coach per team may take Wood Elves for example. Eurobowl and Europen are both played with the Competition Rules Pack with the NAF tournament changes in line with Blood Bowl 2016, Death Zone 1 & 2. Things may change throughout the year and we reserve the right to update these rules in line with the NAFs decision. Once the deadline for registration has passed the rules will be locked in place. We play according to the resurrection style of play. All coaches start each game with the same roster and skills they registered before the tournament. Each coach builds their team with a treasury consisting of 1,100,000 gold crowns

5 No inducements are available to any teams with the following exceptions: Goblins may buy 0-3 bribes Halflings may buy 0-1 master chef All skills will be chosen before the tournament and will stay the same for all matches throughout the tournament. See the tier chart below for information on how many and which type of skills your selected team can choose. Skill stacking or stat upgrades are not allowed. Tier 1 - Wood Elf, Undead, Lizardmen, Skaven, Dwarf, Chaos Dwarf, Orcs, Dark Elf, Norse, Amazon, Bretonnian 6 normal skills Tier 2 - Chaos, Chaos Pact, Human, Khemri, Slann, Necromantic, High Elf, Elf, Nurgle, Vampire, Underworld, Khorne 7 normal skills & 1 double skill Tier 3 - Halfling, Goblin, Ogre 6 normal skills & 2 double skills Additional notifications: 12+ man on the pitch: In case there will be more than 11 players on the pitch and the kickoff event has occurred the following consequences will happen: Randomly the additional players will be chosen by a d16 and that player will be removed from the pitch into the reserve box. In case this will happen in the offense of a team that team suffers a turnover. Raise-the-Death: Coaches of Undead and Necromantic teams may raise the dead according to CRP rules. That zombie will stay during this match and leave the team right after. Casualties: Only Block CAS will count (also by Ball&Chain). All other Cas. By kick-off, crowd pushed, secret weapons&fouls or failed GFI won t count Overtime: No overtime rule will take place. If after 16 rounds the result is a draw it will also end in this result. End up by referee: We kindly remind you to end up the games due the time schedule above. In case your game is not finished in time there won t be a possibility to finished it with extra time. In that case the referee will end the game after the actual turn of the active coach. We will provide Chess Clocks to those matches who aren t in half 2 when there is 1 hour left. Each Coach will get 30min. remaining. When the Chessclock reaches 0 the coach is only allowed to stand his players up. It would be great for each team to have a Chess Clock App available on a Smartphone or Tablet. There are a lot of free options on all platforms to get such an app

6 It is your duty to keep up sportsmanship and run into a smooth tournament. So please look for a strict time schedule and fairness of your game as for your opponent. In case of misunderstandings don t hesitate to call for the referee

7 TOURNAMENT PROCESS You and your team take part in a series of 6 games. Parings will be determined by the swiss system except round 1 as it will be a random draw. You and your team will be seated on numbered tables according to your tournament rank. Please show up in time and start the games right after the drawings would have been pronounced. In case you miss your opponent don t hesitate to contact the tournament staff. We would right looks for your opponent. In case the opponent didn t show up within 30 minutes after start of the round you receive an automatically win. We won t be using score cards anymore. This tournament will be environmental-friendy paper-less. The entry of the tournament data/game scores is done via the www. There are other options provided to tell us your result of course (mainly direct speech!) We are using the following Score System: Win (per player) Draw (per player) Loss (per player) Tiebreaker Score for Teams 1 Point 0,5 Points 0 Points Net TD + Net CAS For Each Team-Win there will be one (1) bonus point awarded to the team. X The best individual player after 6 rounds will recieve a painted NAF-Trophy! There will be special gimmicks and maybe some side prices during the tournament. The winning Team will get free entry to the UKTC 2019 in York (thanks Pipey!) THINGS YOU SHOULD BRING ALONG Your team consisting of all painted models. If you use different models or converted models each should be recognized easily in its position. Please inform your opponent in advance the race and the position of your players to avoid misunderstandings. For the use of the additional skills we highly recommend to use skill or base rings. 2 copies of your team roster including all skills for the 6 rounds. Dice and templates. Pitches, dugouts and scatter template will be provided from the tournament staff. Please remind that the new pitches are larger than the old ones. You can bring miniatures with the new bases along, we will provide some of the larger pitches, if needed. If in any doubt, you are welcome to bring your own pitch. FAIR PLAY & GOLDEN RULE In general we call for the slogan Blood Bowl & Friends. Therefore we please you for a fair and friendly attitude within the tournament. The 4-minute rule won t be used. As mentioned above please consider the strict time schedule and for misunderstandings or in case of discussion please involve the tournament organizers right in time. In case of unsportsmanlike conduct (e.g. obviously delay of play, insultings, etc.) the tournament committee has the right to call several penalties (e.g. loss of points up to tournament disqualification)
