1 PORT ANGELES SUMMER CLASSIC RULES & INFO JUNE 23 RD, 2018 REGULAR SHOW CLASSES ARE OPEN TO ALL YOUTH AGE 4 THROUGH 19 by October 1, EARLY ENTRIES DUE BY JUNE 9th, 2018 Entry Fee: $3.00 per class entered for entries received by June 9 th. $4.00 per class entered for entries received after June 9 th. Please use separate entry form for each species entered. ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER JUNE 17 TH. WSU 4-H and Clallam County Fair Policy and Rules will be followed. Age divisions are based on age as of October 1 of the current 4-H year as determined by WA State 4-H Policy. Youth ages 4-7 by Oct. 1 will receive participation ribbons for all entries including Type classes. What can I enter? Youth do not need to be enrolled or have previously shown in the project area. See the novice class for Juniors and Intermediates. This is a chance to try out a new animal species and learn about how to show it. This show is great practice for Round Robin where youth learn to show other animal species. Large Animal Species: Swine - Dairy Cow - Beef - Sheep - Dairy Goat - Meat goat (Exhibitor must be at least age 8 by October 1 st to show Large Animal Species) Small Animal Species: Pygmy Goat - Chicken - Rabbit - Cavy - Cat (Rabbits who have traveled outside of the Peninsula within the last 60 days will be denied entry due to the RHDV2 virus) All youth under 18 years of age must have a parent of designated chaperone present. All youth must abide by the Clallam County 4-H Code of Conduct of Behavior Expectations. All animals must be safely handled by the youth participant at all times. All animals will be health checked by a sifting committee upon arrival. Show management has the authority to reject any animal exhibiting symptoms of disease or illness. All animal entries must be up to date on the recommended vaccinations for its species. Animals found with external parasites will not be allowed to show. ATTN: Sheep Exhibitors, see Scrapie information in the sheep section. FITTING & SHOWING IS REQUIRED FOR EACH SPECIES YOU ENTER. Additional Information: ALL ENTRY FEE MONIES WILL BE RETURNED TO THE YOUTH IN PRIZES. PRIZES AND/OR FEED WILL BE AWARDED TO ALL EXHIBITORS, BASED ON FITTING & SHOWING PLACING AND MAY 12th ENTRY DEADLINE. FAIRGROUNDS GREEN GATE WILL OPEN AT 8 AM.
