Check out the schedule and judges page for our superb lineup of judges and seminarians. Please take note of a few minor schedule changes: Our first seminar will begin at 9:00 am on Friday so we have time to fit them all in. We have combined part of the time to eat and meet on Friday evening with the voting for special awards. This way, folks can go in and out of the vendor room and show room all during the same time and we don t have to wait until so late to eat. (Please keep all food in the vendor room only.) Then our last seminar of the day can go as late as the instructor wishes! The board made a few changes this year and one is that we will be combining the New England Champion Fish award with the NEC Reptile award until further notice. Both categories do not always have a winner and the board decided this was a better idea than not having the date inscribed on the trophy. Make sure you ask Andy at check in what awards you may be eligible for as some are very specific but we need to know ahead if a mount qualifies. 2 Message from NEAT Vice President: Spring is about here. I hope you all have had a good winter, successful hunting season, and now having a good year in your taxidermy business. Your board members have been busy planning fund raising, spring workshop and the 2018 Annual Show. We had a successful workshop in March helping participants learn the art of mounting game heads of their choice. Many questions asked and answered. Now we are looking forward to presenting you an informative show with judges and seminars and networking to make it a successful show. The board is looking into replacing our trailer that is aging rapidly. We have located one that will be a good replacement. It will meet our needs for storing and transporting our backboards. If we are successful in purchasing the one we are looking at we will have it at the show for all to look at. We look forward to seeing you all and your mounts at the Annual Show in June. Butch Bragg VP Message from Treasurer: Everyone is excited about the upcoming 2018 Annual Taxidermy Show June 1-3. We are planning on something for everyone. In order to fund the show and bring you judges, awards, and a great hotel the board has held a successful spring workshop. We are currently holding our annual raffle with prizes of a Cabela s cooler (compares to a Yeti cooler), Pellet Gun, and Big Game Serrated Pole Saw. The board members have been busy selling them as well as will have tickets available at the show. For the first time this year we are enclosing tickets in the newsletter in hopes that people not able to come to the show would be willing to purchase some tickets and send the tickets stubs and money to me by May 26 th. Also raffle tickets will be sold at the show for Butch Bragg s Steel mounting Stand. This raffle helps to support the purchase of a newer trailer. These tickets are $10 for one and $20 for three. Should anyone not able to come to the show and would like to enter the raffle you may send name, address, phone number and money to me also by May 26 th. We hope as many people as possible will come to the show and enjoy the learning and networking that will take place. Judy Bragg-Treasurer; 10 Harrow Way; Middlebury, VT 05753
