13 Mission In a team environment, using technical free skiing and turning around gates as a tool for members to achieve ski improvement From our website:! The Alberta Masters Ski Club is a group of passionate skiers who ski in a semi-structured environment with goals of improving ski technique and racing skills using a combination of technical free skiing and gate training sessions.! The foundation of the group is a social and supportive environment where encouragement and active participation rule.!

16 On Snow Program Depending on time of year, number of athletes and gate space availability will depend on when athletes ski in gates **we need to be flexible. November - December: Technical Free skiing, stubbies and feather dusters Limited gate space /snow Everyone skis with together January March Full gate courses, Technical Free Skiing Based on number of athletes and hill space, groups split in 2
17 On Snow Structure 2 Coaches New Team Lead Assists session coach with organizing athletes, slip crews on gate training days Designed to allow us to have a coach with a free ski group on gate Each athlete to have and set the own goals with the coaches prior to the start of the season

20 It s Your Club Athlete Representative They would be a voice of the athlete. Athletes could take their questions, thoughts, or concerns that they want to keep anonymous Athlete Rep would bring the item(s) forward to the board via the President
21 Code of Conduct Being a member has a set of expectations You will sign into the Code of Conduct when you register Remember that this club is a group of volunteers
22 Athlete Expectations Set your Goals Ask questions if you aren t sure Be an active member ensure you contribute to our community Be on the hill 15 minutes before the session to setup or be the last people on the hill to tear down Keep the Code of Conduct in mind at all times
23 Gate Training Days Lots of work to set up and maintain the courses 8:50 AM in the lift line Setting, drilling, screwing, slipping, dyeing, rolling, bundling, bungeeing, raking, shovelling, etc. Everyone using the course is expected to help with set up and/or teardown
24 Club Expectations on Snow Rotation system used for course work Athletes will tag off other athletes More smaller bundles of gates Warm up and Inspect before you get in the gates

Must have appropriate Alberta Alpine membership/card *Most AMSC members get the Masters National Card 10% discount at Sporting Life
