MISS MOME - Was kept busy all last year but did manage three victories in total and could figure from joint top weight 2. ZANGOKARI - Good hit rate with four from seventeen and just got home on seasonal reappearance at Marseille -Vivaux 3. DAYNAWAR - Thrice a scorer from just the ten outings and has that unexposed look which promises much more in time 4. VECELLIO - Steadily climbing up the ratings and scored twice in two claimers at Chantilly late last year but this could be a struggle 5. JUST A FORMALITY - He is a triple winner from twenty nine including his penultimate start last year at Salon-de-Provence

2 6. VIVA POLONIA - She has won two from her dozen outings and is consistent enough in the main but this is a hot contest 7. MARATHON MAN - Has won one race from ten and put up a very satisfactory effort at Deauville finishing second when last seen 8. SA TUNA - Dual winner from thirteen runs and put up a brave effort behind Zangokari at Marseille-Vivaux earlier this month 9. BERJOU - Thrice a winner from fifteen including here last time in a claimer when just scraping home. Work to be done 10. FANKAIROS RANGER - Half a dozen wins from twenty three runs and currently on a hat trick after a brace of claiming wins 11. BARENTON - Could easily be the one here having bolted up on just fourth start and handicap debut at Chantilly last November 12. PRIME TIME - Dual winner from fourteen runs and maybe best to forgive a blip on seasonal debut at Deauville recently 13. WAYNE - Twice a winner from nine which came in two of his last three runs so one can only say the horse is in form 14. HEXIS - Finished out last season winning two of last four and best to forgive a blow out on final outing but up against it today 15. LODI - Still looking for that elusive first win after a dozen tries and that should continue after this heat 16. CUTTY PIE - Scored once in claiming company from seven overall starts and will do well to finish anyway close at all This opening Quinte handicap for four year old's only is certainly worth it's billing as the best race of the day. So many of the contenders are closely matched but the one for the euros looks to be (11) BARENTON who is still completely unexposed after a facile win on handicap debut at Chantilly last November. He is the value ahead of (7) MARATHON MAN and then (2) ZANGOKARI. The others to note include (10) FANKAIROS RANGER and joint top weight (1) MISS MOME. 3 Race 2 1. BEST FOUAD - Grand servant who won three from six last season and currently on a hat trick 2. ALLEZ HENRI - Four time winner from forty five but must excuse reappearance effort this year 3. STAR VICTORY - Has won six from twenty one. Very smart type and did well in short season last year 4. HEAVEN ON EARTH - Good hit rate with eight from twenty three and gained half of those last year 5. ROC ANGEL - Has won a quarter of his dozen runs but just needs to find a spark now 6. SPOTIFY - Dual winner from just the five runs and looks an intriguing contender for this 7. KING PLATIN - Dual winner from two dozen runs but very unlikely to add another here today 8. PUMP PUMP PALACE - Four time winner from twenty two but looks to be up against some good types in this 9. METROPOL - Six time winner from thirty two and though a nice type is a big outsider in this hot event 10. SKATERS WALTZ - Very capable claimer on his day and indeed is bidding for a hat trick here but not chosen 11. PLUTOCRACY - Four time winner from twenty nine in the UK but will surely struggle in this company This is a beautiful contest for punters to sink their teeth into. One runner above all though stands out and that has to be the hitherto unexposed and yet two time winner (6) SPOTIFY who hails from the Ferland emporium. He can go on to much better things after this. (1) BEST FOUAD is such a lovable type so merits all the respect in the world. (2) ALLEZ HENRI and (3) STAR VICTORY are very smart in their own right. 4 Race 3 1. STORMY DESTINY - Nothing in his three runs and is completely overlooked once more for good measure 2. GAYATHIR - Very well beaten in both his starts and cannot be fancied at all in any way 3. POWER BLUE - Finished runner up on his penultimate start but that was the exception rather than the rule 4. HAYATO - Soundly beaten on all four starts and where does one find any hope of better 5. PORT DEAUVILLE - Has shown some promise in four runs especially when third at Marseille-Vivaux 6. GEESALA BRAVE - Placed twice in seven starts but is another that looks like a likely struggler 7. JACKSON - All three runs in Italy and was placed in two of those but more required 8. TEQUILAONTHEROCKS - Finished fifth and sixth on both his starts and may improve slightly off those 9. RUDY MAN - Two unplaced efforts last season but they were in good company and has a big chance in this 10. CAP AIGUADES - Soundly dispatched on all three runs and impossible to build a case for 11. GEORGE DE THIAN - Runner up in one of his seven runs and could play some part in finish here 12. GULF OF TOBA - Placed third in two of his five runs last year and a worthy contender today 13. EL DIVO - Much better effort when fourth last time out and maybe more to come today 14. THAT'S THE WONDER - A newcomer by good young sire in Epaulette so can be given a second look 15. KENDAY - Placed in two of his ten runs but a frame effort might be best shot once more This is pretty dire fare if one is to be honest but because of the big field size there may be some value to be had. (9) RUDY MAN fits the bill having shown ability in two unplaced runs against some good types last season. He must go very close.

6 Race 4 1. ALHORIZON - Grand strike rate with five from nineteen and rattled up a hat trick at one stage last year 2. DRY MARTINY - Half a dozen wins from twenty eight including at Salon- Provence last time out 3. MER ET JARDIN - She is four from twenty eight and did it nicely at Lyon- Parilly last time in November 4. CRIMSON LAKE - One win from a dozen runs but has been runner up in two of her last three 5. QUEEN MA - One win in nine outings but has been blighted with truncated campaigns 6. KAILYN - Thrice a winner from twenty five and has good each way chances here too 7. TWISTINA - Just the one win from seventeen and ended last year on a low note so more to do 8. ETOILE ESINA - Seven time winner from forty nine but others look better placed for honours today 9. ZINZICHERA - Five time scorer from thirty one including last time in small event. Must do even better 10. TOP SENSATION - Triple winner from thirty four but on a long losing sequence nowadays 11. DARLING DE LOIRE - Scored three times in thirty seven runs but hammered at Pau last time out 12. STOHAILA - Just the one success from fifteen and can be very hit and miss so opposed now (4) CRIMSON LAKE is made the selection here despite the fact that she continues to drop in the eyes of the handicapper but she has been putting up some very solid efforts like when runner up in two of her last three starts. She can get it right now. (7) TWISTINA has to be respected along with both (6) KAILYN and indeed (2) DRY MARTINY. (4) CRIMSON LAKE - (7) TWISTINA - (6) KAILYN - (2) DRY MARTINY

8 Race 5 1. SILVER GIRL - Placed in three of her four starts in Italy last season and could run well at a price 2. AHORITA - Finished third on her debut last year but has not come forward since then 3. ALSSARUKH - Did not place in her five runs last season and looks a huge longshot again 4. MEDITIA - Off the mark on her third start which was at Pornichet in December so that bodes well 5. FRENCH REFLECTION - Nothing at all in her four runs last season and has zero chance surely 6. ARUSHA - Much improved effort on her fourth start when second in a claimer at Lyon-La-Soie 7. BELLE ATTITUDE - Placed in all her three starts last year and does set the standard here 8. IMPERATRICE MORNY - Still looking for her first placing after five outings so must improve 9. RIVIERA - Placed in three of her seven runs but is up against it here nonetheless 10. HAZARDEUSE - Well behind on both her runs to date and surely cannot be counted in today either 11. VIA APPIA - Hit the frame in four of her seven starts and could easily do so again One of these rather stands out in this pretty light looking claimer for three year old fillies and that is (7) BELLE ATTITUDE who must surely go of a warm favourite on the basis of her three placed runs to date. She should have a bit in hand over (4) MEDITIA and (6) ARUSHA who do offer each way value though. (11) VIA APPIA is another place contender. 9 Race 6 1. FILS DE L'AIR - Four time winner from twenty including two of last three at Marseille-Vivaux 2. GNILY - Triple winner from seventeen and has the form and rating to go very close 3. ANDALOUSE ERIA - Has won a quarter of her sixteen runs and must be considered for honours here 4. NEVER WITHOUT YOU - Still a maiden after sixteen tries and will find this too difficult again 5. SILVER CASINA - Thrice a winner in Italy but still looking for breakthrough on this soil 6. SNEJINSKA - Is still winless after fourteen runs but has put up some sound efforts 7. POWER BECQUA - Dual winner from sixteen and could easily get involved for the places at a price 8. METEORITE - Looking for the breakthrough but has had twenty four tries and passed over 9. THOUGHTLESS - Little or no ability in half a dozen starts and must do so much better As claimers go this is a pretty decent one of it's type and perhaps (1) FILS DE L'AIR can gain another victory to ad to the two that she got at Marseille-Vivaux late last year. There is no reason why she will not return in equally rude health this time round. (2) GNILY is a good sort and will be right there at the finish. 10 Race 7 1. FLAUTO - Still a maiden after nine runs but at least seems to be going the right way 2. PRIME MINISTER - One win from nine and did finish third on first start this season so in form 3. CHARLIE THE LAD - Better effort last time when runner up at Lyon La Soie but remains a maiden 4. VUE DU CIEL - Still looking for that elusive first victory but was second at Pornichet last time 5. GASCON - No place from his five runs and looks to be a long shot once more here 6. DARLING POINT - Runner up in three of her last four and is this finally the day for the breakthrough? 7. TEMPETE DE PLUMES - Has threatened a few times in twenty runs but looks to be an outsider today 8. DIARISSA - Won on her debut last season but has not set the world on fire since then 9. RYOS - Just the one victory from twenty seven but looks that bit exposed now 10. PAPA WINNER - Best effort in a long time when runner up at Pornichet last time so might sustain that form This is hardly very inspiring stuff with several maidens in the field. One of them however is taken to end the drought and that is (6) DARLING POINT. This will be her eighteenth try but she has hit the crossbar in three of her last four races and can finally nail it here. (4) VUE DU CIEL is a similar type and can prove the biggest danger. AMI TOON'S - A win and two thirds in Second run back from a fourmonth break and barefoot for first time since September 4. AURIVERDE - Placed twice in the summer but disqualified more often than not since. Claiming debut 5. BAHIA BEJI - Successful at Le Croise-Laroche and Lyon-La Soie in November. Down the field on first run here latest. Claiming debut 6. BELMANN - Four wins in 2016 and added to tally at Graignes last August. Seventh of 16 at Toulouse on January 7 7. The biggest threats could come from (9) ELSA DU CAP VERT - who has shown ability in this discipline - and (16) ELEGANTE MAJYC. All are unshod for the first time along with three others. A repetition of (11) BIG MATCH's latest run at this track would see him battling for honours while (15) AURA NORMANDE could figure if staying this trip. A case can also be made for (16) VERSACHET. DIGITALE - Runner-up at this venue at the end of December. Fast-finishing third of 12 last week 5. DIVINE BEJI - First time on the podium for 11 months when a battling second of nine here on January 2 6. DYNASTY PEJI - Five wins last year but prone to disqualification - including on last two outings 7. DEESSE DU RELAIS - All three career successes came in Fourth of nine behind runner-up (5) DIVINE BEJI on January 2 8. DIVINE FOLIE - Course winner last February. Fifth of seven in a G2 latest Cedric Megissier's(11) DAELIA DE VANDEL was runner-up on her ridden debut in December and can open her account in this sphere after confirming that form in harness earlier this month. The erratic (6) DYNASTY PEJI could pose a threat on a going day while (5) DIVINE BEJI is another with the credentials to be competitive. That also applies to (3) EIKO VET who is the main danger on form but also needs to maintain a rhythm. COUCOU DE L'EPINE - Ended a sequence of three sanctions when popping up at 94/1 at Nantes on January CHRONO JOSSELYN - Won a ridden race in 2016 and took a harness claimer last month but prone to breaking stride 5. CORNULIER DU TAM - Two harness wins in the summer. Disqualified in both previous outings under the saddle 6. CRACK D'ARIANE - A win and a third last year and ended the campaign with a decent fourth of 11 here on December CRAQUITO BEST - Successful at Cabourg in October and November. Subsequently runner-up in harness at Cabourg (6) CRACK D'ARIANE - from the yard of Daniel Bethouart - was a decent fourth in a hot heat at the end of December and deserves to win a race like this. The consistent (13) CESAR DE VRIE is likely to be a tough nut to crack while (11) CELEBRE DE FOOT and (9) CYRUS DU POMMEREUX are closely matched and rate as worthy adversaries.

DANDY CHERI - Came out on top at Meslay-du-Maine in November. Fifth of 10 on January 4 5. DZEKKO DE CAREL - Arrives on the back of a good win at Marseille-Vivaux on January 9 when sent off second favourite 6. DJANGO DES ILES - Scored twice in December. Fifth of 18 behind fourthplaced (8) DIADEME DU CEBE on January 9 7. DESTIN D'ECHAL - Won at Lyon-Parilly in September and second at Marseille-Vivaux in October. Didn't get a clear run when eighth of 18 here last time 8. DIADEME DU CEBE - Fourth twice earlier this month - once in harness and once under the saddle - before breaking stride when battling for a place last time 9.
