1 A) General Information Race: Trail Running Format: Stage Race Dates: March 7 st to 10 th, Days is a trail running race that goes across Chile, with a distances between 35-40kms per day, having a base camp at the end of each stage set by the organization, for participants to have a rest during the nights. The runners can participate be individual or in team of 2 people, who must be together during the whole route. B) Participants Conditions 1. Runners must have a very good physical training and must have experience in long distance races. 2. All participants must fill and sign by a doctor the medical form, which they will find at the end of the present regulations. 3. This must be delivered personally or sent by to 4daystrail@no-limits.cl with the doctor s data prior to January 1, The medical form cannot be delivered at the time of accreditation. In case of not delivering said certificate in time and form, they will not be able to participate in the race. C) General Considerations 1. 4 Days is organized and produced by No Limits. 2. The organization reserves the right of admission. 3. The organization will have an administrative and technical team that will control the compliance of the present regulations by the competitors and will decide on any subject inherent to the competition. 5. Any doubts of the participant on technical topics of the course, competition, classifications, etc., should be sent to this team via to 4daystrail@no-limits.cl 4. The organization may suspend and / or defer the event for reasons of public safety, public acts, and vandalism, climatological and / or force majeure reasons. 5. Abnormal weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances may force the organization to redesign the course for safety reasons. If this happens the new course will be timely communicated through the website. In case of last-minute changes, the course will be communicated during a technical talk to be held before the competition. Even during the race, they can change the layout for security reasons; the changes will be perfectly marked. 6. The organization and its sponsors reserve the right to use, reproduce, distribute and / or publish photographs, films, videos, recordings and / or any other means of registration of the runners without any economic compensation in favor of the participant of the present competition, so that when registering the competitors, it will be interpreted as having been consented to by them. 1

Participation in the competition implies your responsibility for the information provided, your full acceptance of the regulations, terms and conditions of the event, and payment of registration. 8. Runners who are suspended, or against whom the use of prohibited substances, or lack of ethics and good customs in sporting events, may not participate in the event. 9. The race is only suitable for people over 18 years of age. Children under 18 years of age cannot participate until they reach the age indicated. 10. Competition takes place in pre-mountain range and mountain areas. Without a doubt the landscape and nature are key to the success of this event. For this reason we ask you to collaborate, leaving no residue in the course during the race. Take your trash to the Aid Stations or Finish Line. There will be waste containers inside the Aid Stations and 100 meters from the exit to the trail. 11. Each runner will be responsible for having his or her own accident insurance. 12. There will be medical care during the competition and at the base camp, in addition to a vehicle for transfer to the nearest medical center; the subsequent expenses for medical care are the account of the runner. 13. Competitors are responsible for running in appropriate clothing for a competition of these characteristics and adverse weather conditions. 14. Any determination attached to these regulations, will be taken by the organization and communicated to the runners. D) Registration 1. Entries are subject to availability and will be made online at 2. The registration process and the costs and deadlines are described in section R of these regulations. 3. Competitors must present their identity document or passport when they are accredited. 4. F) Runners Equipment Mandatory Equipment (per runner): Bid number of competitor (delivered by the Organization) 1 chip (delivered by the Organization) 1 backpack that goes through the shoulders. 4 Recommended Elements (per runner): Trousers and 3/4 pants. Sandals, essential for having your feet outdoors after each stage. Hat or cap. Waterproof jacket. 2 pairs of slippers. Sunscreen. Towel. Headlight. Moleskin or similar for blisters on the feet. Backpack with hydration bag. First aid box. Elements Transported By Organization: Bag (delivered by the Organization). Personal clothing. Personal hygiene items. Sleeping bag. Mat. * The organization will not transfer values in cash, electronic or valuable items. The Organization shall provide (per runner): Personal Carp Inflatable mattress Tent lamp Snack and Drinks on arrival at each Camp. Food and Drink every night at the Camp. G) Checkpoints during the race 1. The checkpoints serve, on the one hand, for security, and, on the other hand, for the fair competition to be carried out. 2. The course is marked with checkpoints (PCs) for which competitors must pass. In general in PCs is a person of the organization responsible for control, but also may not be so and have only one signal. 3. Each runner and member of a team must be present on the PC. The time taken in case the computer is not together is the last one to reach the PC, and the last one to exit. 4. Skipping a PC results in the disqualification of the race, except that it goes back and passes through it. 4

5 H) Bid Number and Time Control: 1. The bid number is mandatory; this must be on the front of the runner and fully visible. 2. It is not allowed to cover or cut the number of competition awarded by the organization. 3. The Time Chip will be mandatory for all runners and this will depend on their appearance in unofficial times as official. 4. It is the responsibility of the driver to install the chip and care during the race. I) Departure and Route: 1. The start will be with all runners aligned behind the starting arc. 2. The route will be completely signposted every 20-50mts with plastic ribbons of color to be defined. This will be the axis of the route that the participants must follow. 3. It is not allowed to make short cuts of the route; in case of surprising a runner in this action will proceed to disqualify it. 4. At each checkpoint, the runners will be counted. 5. On the website you can download the racecourses once they are published by the organization. J) Race and Classification Times: 1. The time of the chronometers begins with the start of the competition and stops once crossed the finish line. 2. Each stage will have its time that will then be added to obtain the final time of the competition. 3. The winner of the competition is the one who completes the course in the least amount of time, without breaking the rules of competition. 4. In the Team category they can only classify those teams in which their two runners together carry out the full course. 5. Death time (TM) applies in the event that runners cannot continue running for reasons beyond themselves in cases established by the Organization. The death time is deducted from the total running time. 6. Judges can add time to runners who are penalized, as well as compel them to stop the run at the checkpoints to fulfill the penalty. 7. The top 3 finishers in each category will be rewarded with Medal and prizes from the sponsors. K) Assistance and supplies: 1. The assistance of the runners is carried out by the organization, each participant will receive a bag to manage their items and food during the four days of competition, and they will be transferred by the Organization. 2. The race organizing committee is responsible for ensuring that there is sufficient drinking water, isotonic juice and fruit at the aid stations during the race. 3. During the race it is recommended to use a hydration pack or bottles, this serves to ensure that each runner ensures adequate and sufficient hydration. Depending on your needs, you can stock up on liquids or foods at the designated aid station. 4. For runners wishing to self-cater with light foods during the race, it is permitted to use energy bars, gels or any other type of solid food but under no circumstances will they be able to receive outside help outside the aid stations. 5. It is strictly forbidden to throw or leave any paper, wrapping or bottles of water in the course. 6. It will be strictly forbidden to receive assistance from a motorized vehicle (van, car, motorcycle), unless it is from the same organization. This measure aims to avoid accidents in the race. 5

6 L) Security There will be a large safety team for this race which will consist of: Expert Mountain guides. Rescue Groups. Interlaced radios for communication, bases and repeaters. Ambulances with doctors. 1 family doctor. Medical Tent based on Organization. Helicopter if required. M) Medical Care: 1. In the vehicle of the organization or of the medical assistance a Paramedic will travel, who can make an intervention if necessary. Taking into consideration that the vehicle may require some time to get from one place to another, it can not be guaranteed that 100% care will be covered at all times. 2. In this case, the runners commit to helping each other (Fair Play Code). 3. Doctors of the official team have the right to remove a runner if for health reasons they deem it necessary. There is no option for the runner to negotiate this decision. 4. Any subsequent compensation for this decision or claim against the doctor or organization that has taken it is explicitly excluded. 5. If the runner is not able to continue the race without endangering his or her health, the doctor has the obligation to remove the runner from the race. 6. In the event that any of the runners present a degree of acute dehydration or for any other reason that their rehydration by intravenous infusion becomes indispensable, it will automatically be out of competition. 7. Only the race doctor will be authorized to decide on the need for intravenous infusion to the runner. 8. If the runner refuses to follow the instructions, this act alone automatically exempts you from any responsibility regarding your health to the doctor or to any member of the organizing committee of the race. N) Medical self-sufficiency: 1. If a runner wishes to take with him any medication he must take regularly, he must indicate it on the same day of competition as the official doctor. 2. This competition will have an on-site medical operation. If necessary, the participant will be transferred by ambulance to the nearest medical center or health system. 6

7 O) Giving up the race: 1. If a runner wishes to leave the race, he must inform the race marshal at the checkpoint who immediately will inform the Race Director, regardless of whether it is exhaustion or discomfort. P) Cancellation: 1. The organization can cancel the competition until 24 hours before the official start of the same. 2. The organizer will provide information on the particular cancellation conditions. 3. The climatic factor will not be in any way a factor of cancellation of the test, unless this represents a risk to the health of the competitors. Q) Penalties: 1. Cars, motorcycles, bicycles or any vehicle may not accompany runners. If this happens it will be penalized with the disqualification. 2. Assistance between runners is allowed without penalty. 3. All runners must follow the route that the organization has determined. Any runner who does not do so will be disqualified. 4. If a runner observes that another is in trouble, it is mandatory to give notice to the organization. 5. Any runner who engages in unsportsmanlike conduct, who does not respect the indications of the staff of the Organization and / or transgresses these rules, will be disqualified. 6. It is obligatory to notify the Organization if the runner decides to leave as soon as possible. Solid and liquid supply stations at each stage. Closing and final awards ceremony. S) Registration Process: 1. The Organization reserves the right of admission. 2. The registration process starts on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 12:00 and closes on Monday, January 1, 2018 at 23:59 or until stocks runs out. 3. Places are limited, 80 runners are established but may vary according to organization s determinations. 4. The registration process is done through the website of the competition 5. Each runner must follow the process indicated in the registration process and deliver all requested data. 6. Once you have completed the registration process and the payment, you will receive a confirmation from the organization. T) Refund Policy: 1. Registration is non-refundable. 2. The registration can be left as credit for the next version or transferred to another runner in case of giving notice to the organization through a formal letter via to 4daystrail@no-limits.cl before Monday, January 1, In case of not giving notice to the organization within the period indicated in the previous point, the runner will lose the total value of his registration. U) Environment: 1. All runners are reminded of the importance of keeping the environment clean in trail races. 2. They must keep all their residues, be they papers of bars of cereals or plastic bottles. 3. There will be penalties for those who do not respect this slogan. 4. If they see someone who throws trash, however small, they have to notice him and asked to lift it. 8
