1 Official Regulations 5K Maratón Málaga Article 1 Malaga City Hall, through Octagon ESEDOS SL organizes the first 5K, race that belongs to Maratón Málaga Organization, on Sunday December 4th, By signing the registration form, participants declare and accept the rules. Article 2 The 5k, an urban running race of meters, open to all runners, being 12 years old or over on the day of the event. The circuit is run in asphalt and through the city (urban circuit) having all the kilometric points properly indicated. The participation is limited to runners, by order of registration. Each runner taking part in the 5K competes at his/her own risk and has the physical condition and good health necessary to face the race. The organization recommends all runners to undergo a medical examination previous to the competition. All participants have to accept the risk associated with sport activity. Article 3 The race will start at 09:30 and runners will be placed according to their expected time (access will be open from 09:10 to 09:25h). The race will finish at 10:20, being this the maximum time given to finish the race with official time. The race s time control will close

2 when the runners pass through the following kms: 2 5 and 5 and finish line in a maximum time of 25 and 50 minutes, respectively. When a participant exceeds the excepted closing time, he/she will be passed by the vehicle that indicates the race s end, and the participant will either have to abandon the race or continue at his own risk and responsibility, complying with traffic s rules and regulations, like any other person in the street. Article 4 Prices. The amounts shown in the above list are prices of the entry fees. In no case will the type of the discount applied result in a 0 fee.

3 Spanish Unemployed: Photocopy of the Tarjeta de Paro updated to the day of the entry, photocopy of the National ID. Disabled people: Photocopy of certificate, showing the degree of disability, which must be 33% or higher. An ID stating the degree of disability and / or the disability payrolls will also be valid documents of proof. Spanish Retiree: Photocopy of the Retiree ID. Only people with a disability, without a job, or Retiree at the time of registration will quality for the corresponding discount. To be able to complete the ON-LINE inscription, it will be necessary to send the documentation to 5k@maratonmalaga.com. The original documents will have to be provided physically the day of the race number pick-up. Failure to meet any of the requirements stated above will not allow the person to receive any discount. Registrations will not be accepted after the mentioned date. Article 5 Registration can be completed as follows: Through the website The organization can close the registration period when they consider it convenient. Article 6 Cancellation Insurance Policy:

4 The amount of the insurance is not refundable. Article 7 Runners not using the time chip and the race number handed by the organization will not appear in the race results. It is the runner s responsibility to check the proper functioning of his/her chip on the timekeeper booth at the MARATHON EXPO. The race number and timing chip will be handed exclusively at the MARATHON EXPO at Palacio de Deportes Jose Maria Martin Carpena, C/Miguel Mérida Nicolich, Málaga on Friday December 2nd, from 3PM to 9PM and Saturday December 3rd from 10AM to 8PM. If you are not able to pick them up in person, a third party can pick them up for you if he/she brings a signed authorization as well as the necessary documentation (photocopy of ID and proof of payment). No race numbers will be handed out to those who do not meet these requirements. Under no circumstances will race numbers be collected the day of the event Article 8 The race number is personal and not transferable. Failure to comply with this section will be reason for disqualification. Other reasons of disqualification: Providing false information when registering (age, residence, etc.)

5 Not doing the complete course. Not going through the checkpoints located through the course. Not having the race number visible at the front or hiding/altering any of its elements. Running with the number and/or time chip from any other runner. Running without a race number. Not following the instructions of the judges and/or staff of the Organization. Having unsportmanship behavior. Not complying with any issue stated by the regulations. Entering the finish line accompanied by persons or animals foreign to the organization. Disqualified runners will have no option for trophies. Article 9 There will be a Feed Station at the finish line. Likewise, health services and ambulances will be located in strategic places of the course, closing the race and at the finish line. Information of medical interest (allergy, special attentions, etc.) recommended by the organization will be located in the back of the race number. Article 10 The following categories, both male and female, and depending on the date of birth, will exist:

6 Men / Women Infantil (participants who turn 12 or 13 years in 2017) Cadete (participants who turn 14 or 15 years in 2017) Juvenil (participants who turn 16 or 17 years in 2017) Junior (participants who turn 18 or 19 years in 2017) Absoluto (20-40 years)* +40 years* * This ages have to be met the day of the race, not the day of registration. Article 11 Trophies will be given to the first of Infantil, Cadete, Juvenil and Junior (male and female) and to the three first of Absoluto and +40 years (male and female). Any trophy not picked up the day of the event, can be requested by to 5k@maratonmalaga.com until January 9th After this day, the organization will not send more trophies, assuming the winners renounce to them. Article 12 The Organization declines any responsibility for the damage, prejudices or injuries that the participants in this race could suffer by fault of any third party. The participant s insurance will cover all accidents or incidents that are strictly related to the race. Article 13

7 All claims will have to be fulfilled orally to the race s Judge, not later than 30 minutes after the results are officially communicated. If they are not approved by him, it will be possible to present a written claim and accompanied by a 100 deposit to the Appeal Juror. In case the resolution is approved and favorable, the 100 deposit will be returned. If there is no Appeal Juror, the Races Judge s decision will be final. Article 14 The race may be suspended or transferred another day on the calendar due to weather or other major reasons, whenever it is decided by government institutions collaborators, the General Coordinator together with the Technical Director and the Referee, and its final verdict. In this case, the registration will not be refunded. Article 15 IMPORTANT INFORMATION Octagon Esedos, registered in the Spanish Data Protection Agency, is the owner of the personal data collected through the 5K registration and are subject to automated treatment and incorporated into a file which is owned by Octagon Esedos. The participant has the right to access these files in order to modify or cancel its content completely or partially. To do so, you must apply by writing and adding valid ID to the registered office of Octagon ESEDOS SL (Calle Francesc Moragas 1, 08770, Sant Sadurní d Anoia, Barcelona, Spain). Also, for sporting interests, promotion, distribution and exploitation of the VII Maratón Málaga and 5K (photo publishing, qualifying listings, etc.) by any means (Internet, advertising, etc.) and without a time limit, registrants expressly concede the

8 organization the right to reproduce the name, their position in the overall classification, category, marks achieved and their image itself during the preliminary moments of the event, during the race and after the race during the moments included in the event (trophies, finish line, etc.) and until it is over. According to what is stated in the Data Protection Law 15/1999, you give your consent for the automated processing of your personal data. You give consent to use personal data for commercial purposes by the owner of the file, in particular to send communications for promotional or advertising purposes relating exclusively to the field of sports products and services developed or managed by the owner.
