TIMING Automatic electronic timekeeping 5. PARTICIPATION 5.1. It is open to all swimmers with current license in Masters Category, swimming discipline, and also to national and international teams. 6. AGE GROUPS 6.1. 2 pàg 2 de 7 7. ENTRIES: 7.1. Entries, settlement sheet and entry fee s payment by bank transfer, should be made not later than 22 nd May 2018 before 12:00 noon. Entries can be sent by at the follow address: masters@natacio.cat. (You can find all the official entry forms in our web site at the following link: Relay entries must be done by the sum of the four individual times or indicating a final time of the relay event. Individual entries must be done with a final time. We won t accept entries without time or with a time of 59:59: Entries sent later of the deadline won t be accepted Entry fee for swimmers with Catalan Swimming Federation s license is 8,00 per each individual event and 10,00 per each relay team. Catalan Swimming Federation will invoice the total cost of the entries to Catalan clubs. Once completed the entries, possible withdraws are not entitled to the return of the amount of entry fees 7.5. Entry fee for foreign clubs is 14,00 for the first individual event and 8,00 for the rest of the entries. For the relay events the entry fee is 10,00. The total cost of the entries must be paid by bank transfer at the same time you formalizing the entries, at the following account number: BANC DE SABADELL ES BIC: BSABESBB Once completed the entries, possible withdraws are not entitled to the return of the amount of entry fees 7.6. To formalize the entries, you will need to submit the following documents: Entry Form for individual events male and female categories. (Male and female nominal list) Entry Form for relay events, male, female and mixed (teams entries, compositions of different teams sheet). Entry Form for composition of different relay teams (relay composition s sheet). You can find all these documents at the following link: To validate clubs entries, you will have to attach the above required documents and also the settlement sheet, check and receipt of money order or bank transfer for the total amount of entry fees (individual and relay events). 3 pàg 3 de 7 8. PARTICIPATION 8.1. INDIVIDUAL EVENTS Participation is open to all swimmers aged 20 (year of birth 1998 and older), having valid license in master category, swimming specialty (annual), from their territorial federation. Foreign swimmers must satisfy the conditions of their respective federations of their countries. To be able to take part in our competition, is not necessary to prove a qualifying time, but you must indicate in the entry sheet the official times achieved in other recent competitions. Entries without entry times or with no official times in 400 and 800 m. Freestyle and 400 m. Individual Medley (only for Catalan and Spanish swimmers) won t be accepted. 800 m. FREESTYLE EVENT MIXED (MALE AND FEMALE) The participation at the 800 m. Freestyle mixed event will be at most of 40 swimmers per sex. Clubs with swimmers in that event won t be necessary to wait having all the complete entries of their club to send the entry for that event. Entries acceptation for the 800 m. Freestyle mixed event will be made in order of arrival at our masters secretary. Once all places of each sex are full, the event will be closed. Later, if Master Committee of our Federation thinks convenient, a waiting list will be opened in order of arrival of surplus entries received. Swimmers in the waiting list, only will be able to take part at the 800 m. event if we have any withdraws before the official entries list is published. The main referee will make a swimmer leave the pool when he/she exceed the 16 minutes during the event. At the official results he/she will appear as retired, unclassified and without any official time. RELAY EVENTS In case a swimmer only takes part in the relay events, it is necessary to inform us about this matter when you formalize the entries. It won t be accepted the participation of any swimmer that is not pre-registered previously in the list of names of participants. Each swimmer may participate in a maximum of FOUR INDIVIDUAL EVENTS (4), during all the championship, plus the relay events. The 400 m. and 800 m. Freestyle events will be swum with in mixed form a swimmer per lane RELAY EVENTS In all the relay events, each club is able to entry all teams they want in each category, but swimmers must be different, that means swimmers won t be able to take part in two relay teams in the same event, although they are in different categories.

4 pàg 4 de 7 In case a swimmer only takes part in the relay events, it is necessary to inform us about this matter when you formalize the entries. It won t be accepted the participation of any swimmer that is not pre-registered previously in the list of names of participants. Pre-masters category swimmers ( years old), cannot participate in any relay team of more than 99 years. In the pre-masters category relays, may participate swimmers over 24 years, provided the sum of the ages of the four components of the relay team does not exceed 99 years. Clubs must send the relay teams composition in the corresponding sheets, together with the entries and the four components of the team. Later, it will be able to make changes up to 15 minutes before the start of each session. In the relay teams composition sheets you shall show the swimming license number, name and both surnames and year of birth of swimmers who form the team in the same order they will swim and the years sum of the team. In case of not fill in all the requested data, the competition s referee jury won t allow to take part the team in the event entered. Category changes of the relay teams will be allowed up until the publication of the competition s startlists. Later, it won t be allowed any changes. If a swimmer must withdraw and cannot be replaced by another swimmer without affecting the category who below the entered team, the club which owns this team must withdraw the relay team up to 30 minutes before the start of each session of the competition. In no case shall permit a change of category of the relay team after the authorized period. 9. COMPETITION RULES 9.1. The competition will be held in 2 days The competition will be swum by the time trial system: Individual events of 50 and 100 m. and relays events will be swum BY CATEGORIES (provided the competition s timing allows it). Individual events of 200, 400 and 800 m. will be swum BY ENTERED TIMES, regardless of the category to which belongs the swimmer It will be applied the UNIQUE START SYSTEM for all competition Swimmers must stay into the pool, in their own lane, once finished their event until the main referee authorize them to leave the pool, once the next heat has started. 10. RESULTS Once each event has finished, the results will be published in our web site ( at the following link: ) and in a clearly visible place of the venue. Under no circumstances the organizing committee will provide results in paper.

5 pàg 5 de AWARDS: The first three male and female swimmers classified in each individual event by categories will have medals, as well as the first three clubs classified in the relay events also by categories The best male and female achievements based on the CATALAN point Table in each category which assesses the time results will have a trophy The oldest male and female swimmers will have a trophy The clubs with the largest number of participants (joint category male and female) will have a trophy It will be awarded the prizes of the 5 th Trophy Federation swimming masters Catalan s Masters Competitions (only Catalan masters swimmers) Each swimmer who improves a new master record will get a certificate of recognition (Master Championship Records are excluded).

CHAMPIONSHIP RECORDS There is going to be Championship s Records in all individual and relay events in 25 and 50 m pool. It will be able to break records in the middle of the events and final times. At the end of each session we will publish in our web site Championship s updating records in 25 and 50 m pool. You will find them at the following link: CHAMPIONSHIPS COMPETITION COMMITTEE The Championships Competition Committee will be chaired by a member of the Catalan Swimming Federation s Masters Committee and also will consist of a representative of the Catalan Swimming Federation, the competition s main referee and a member of the organizer club.

7 pàg 7 de COMPETITION S DIRECTOR The competition s director will be appointed by the organizers in accordance with the Catalan Swimming Federation s Master Committee. 15. AMENDMENT OF RULES AND NOT FORESEEN RULES 15.1 Catalan Swimming Federation has the right to modify these rules when circumstances may need, prior notification to the participating clubs Any contingency not covered in these Regulations and referring to the competition, will be solved according to the Catalan Swimming Federation s General Rules.
