1 individual events relays Club De Dolfijn in Paramaribo, Suriname extends to you a cordial invitation to participate in its 13 th Annual Anthony Nesty International Open and Age Group Swim meet, to be held in Paramaribo on November 23 & 24, This 13th edition will be organized great, because it is 30 years ago that our Anthony Nesty won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Seoul.There will be competition in Open Category as well as in Age-group Categories. Open events, except the relays, will be swum in heats and finals, age group events and all relays will be timed finals. categories 6 y & under 6 y & under 7-8 y 7-8 y 9-10 y 9-10 y open open The age of the swimmer on December, 2017 at midnight will determine the age group in which the swimmer is eligible to swim. Swimmers from the age groups yrs and yrs may choose to compete in their Age Group or in the Open category. The events for these age groups will be the same as for the Open Category and they will be swum together. Medals for the above mentioned age group will be awarded separately. There is no age requirement for the Open events, however participants in the Open Category are excluded from participation in any age group category. Course: 5-lane 25 meter pool, with Electronic Timing. Registration and Entries. Final Entries must be made in Hy-Tek file format and must be returned at the latest on Friday, November 03, The Hy-Tek file will be distributed in the second week of October 2018.

2 Swimmers from foreign countries must be sanctioned by their respective National Federations and be in good standing with their club and National Federation. Each participating team must present a Letter of Good Standing from their National Federation, sanctioning their participation. We would appreciate a provisional response of your intention to participate at the latest on Friday May 18th 2018 with an indication of the number of swimmers, coaches and officials by at info@dedolfijn.sr and gerardbenschop@aol.com. Entries on the Entry Form can be returned to: Club De Dolfijn info@dedolfijn.sr and Mr. Gerard Benschop gerardbenschop@aol.com. Entries in Hy-Tek format must be returned to: Competition Committee of the Suriname Swimming Association - commissie.wedstrijden.szb@gmail.com. Entry Rules: 1. There is a limit of 5 swimmers that a team can enter in an age-group event, except for the swimmers 6 year and under and the open events. In the age group 6 year and under and in the open event, there is no limit of swimmers. In the Open Class swimmers will score points individually for the Individual High Point Trophy and for the Team Trophy in the Open category. The age-group swimmers will score points for the Best Swimmer Trophy in each age group and for the Age Group Team Trophy. 2. There is no restriction on the number of events in which an individual competitor may participate. However, a swimmer who is entered in a given event and is scratched for that event after the Technical Meet or otherwise fails to swim that event, must pay a penalty of USD 7.00 or SRD 55,00 before he/she is eligible to swim the next event in which he/she is entered IN THE SAME SESSION. 3. There shall be neither substitutes nor alternatives in individual events. 4. Each Club may enter a maximum of 2 (two) teams per relay event although only one will score points. 5. For an event to be held, there should be at least one (1) participant or relay team entered. 6. Swimmers competing in relay events must be registered in the meet, but do not have to swim in individual events. 7. Heats will be announced and swimmers missing their respective heat will not be allowed to take part in that event. 8. No late entries will be allowed in any event. 9. For foreign teams there shall be an Entry Fee of USD 5.00 per swimmer regardless the number of events in which he/she participates including relays. Entry Fees can be paid upon arrival or at the Technical Meet. 10. Where applicable, Over the top starts will be executed.

3 11. FINA rules will be in effect, unless stated otherwise. Awards. 1. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 (three) places in each event. 2. A trophy will be awarded to the swimmer in each Age Group and Open Category, male and female, with the highest number of individual points. 3. In the event that swimmers have the same accumulation of points, the swimmer with the most first place finishes will be awarded the highpoint trophy. In case the outcome is unchanged, the swimmer with the most second places will be awarded and afterwards the swimmer with the most third places will be awarded. In case the ultimate outcome remains unchanged, both swimmers will be awarded the highpoint trophy. 4. The three teams scoring the highest number of points in the Open category shall be given a trophy. For the age group category a trophy will be given to the team with the highest number of points. 5. Scoring shall be as follows: first place: 6 points second place: 4 points third place: 3 points fourth place: 2 points fifth place: 1 point Please note: double points for relays 6. Money prizes will be available in the Open Category on the king's number, 100m Butterfly. Officals Each participating club may provide one or more officials for the meet. Names and current Technical Official positions preferably to be submitted along with the entries to allow a schedule of officials to be made. Local clubs are requested to provide as usual 2-3 officials for each session. Schedule of Events. See the attachments. Note: For Open Events participants must have achieved the Qualifying Time in an official meet during the last 12 months. For Age group Events entry times should be a best official time achieved in the last 12 months. Only if you have no entry time should you enter NT.

4 General The Technical Meet will be scheduled once arrival date(s) and time(s) of foreign teams is known. You will be informed timely regarding date, time and place. When all entries have been received and the number of participating teams is known, a time-schedule will be made for warm-up, including lane assignments.
