Junior and Senior shows are separately sanctioned by the American Dairy Goat Association. Show A is a Colorado State Fair show sanctioned by the American Dairy Goat Association. A.D.G.A. Rules shall prevail. Premiums paid. Show B is a Colorado Dairy Goat Association sponsored show. No Group Classes. Ribbons only. 1. ANY EXHIBITOR CAUGHT SLEEPING IN THE BARNS OR ON THE FAIR GROUNDS WILL BE IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM THE GROUNDS AND WILL NOT BE INVITED BACK. 2. Dairy goat exhibitors ARE required to purchase exhibitor passes. No admittance onto the grounds without either a wristband or daily pass. Dairy goat exhibitors will be allowed to park inside Gate 4 for free. Parking permits will be available to be picked up when exhibitors check-in. You will be instructed as to where you will be able to park and individuals who abuse this privilege will have parking revoked and will be required to park outside the Fairgrounds and pay for that parking. 3. All entrants must have read and be familiar with the Colorado State Fair General Terms and Conditions; General Livestock Competition Requirements, and Health Requirements. When applicable all association rules shall apply. 2. All entrants for livestock exhibited in Open, Breed or Market competitions shall provide a premises identification number at the time of entry. 3. There will be no outside bedding allowed on the State Fairgrounds. The Colorado State Fair Management is making it mandatory for all exhibitors to purchase their animal bedding through the Colorado State Fair Feed/Bedding Concessionaire. If you choose to violate this rule and bring your own bedding, you will be asked to remove it from the grounds immediately! This rule will be strictly enforced by the Colorado State Fair Management team. 4. Copies of registration papers must be submitted at the time of entry. Entries that do not include registration papers will be rejected. Original registration papers must be available for inspection at the show. All goats, regardless of age, must have been registered with the American Dairy Goat Association, the American Goat Society or the Canadian Goat Society. Stamped duplicates of registration papers will be accepted only on does up to six months of age. Photocopies of registration, recordation, or stamped duplicate will not be accepted at the show.
2 5. The Colorado State Fair Dairy Goat Show is not at liberty to change the order of the shows and classes because of the printing of judges sheets several days ahead of the show. 6. There is no limit to the number of animals an exhibitor may enter in this show or in any one of these classes. Premiums will be paid in accordance with the premium schedule listed in this division. 7. All animals shown in group classes must have been shown in their respective individual classes. 8. Entries may not be added to or withdrawn from classes without permission from the officials in charge after the class is in the ring and the judging has started. The class shall not be reopened after reasons have begun. 9. Does only are eligible. No bucks allowed on the grounds. No animals will be allowed on the grounds unless a class is provided for them and the animal is properly entered in that class. 10. Tattoo identification must be included with all entries. To qualify for show, exhibitors must present papers to superintendent for verification of registration and tattoo upon arrival. 11. All animals must be entered in the name of the registered owner and owned prior to July 20, of the current year. Proof of ownership shall be the name on the registration or recordation certificate. 12. Any doe under 24 months of age that has never freshened shall compete in the junior doe show. Any doe that has ever freshened, including dry milkers, shall compete in the senior doe division. 13. Permanent Champions may show in either the Champion Challenge Class or their respective regular single age class. The Champion Challenge Class (entry fee required) will be conducted in accordance with A.D.G.A. Competition Requirements. 14. No pre-show milk out will be conducted for the regular shows. Exhibitors should milk out at their own discretion, and dispose of milk in provided barrels. 15. Classes with three (3) or more animals making up an entry will be considered a group class with Pre-entry required and no entry fee paid. Classes with one (1) or two (2) animals making an entry will be considered an individual class with pre entry and regular entry fee required. 16. No horned goats allowed, all goats must be de-horned. 17. *Only Show A (CSF) points will be calculated towards Premier Breeder & Premier Exhibitor Awards. 18. All Open Dairy Goats will be required to have individual identification for Scrapie Premise ID tag. INDIVIDUAL CLASSIFICATIONS: Pre Entry and regular Entry Fee required. Produce of Dam: Entry to consist of two Junior Does, the produce of one dam named on the entry form. An exhibitor may show more than one group provided each group is out of a different dam. Dam and Daughter: Entry to consist of one senior doe, named on entry form, and her milking daughter. GROUP CLASSIFICATIONS: (For Show A only) Pre Entry required with No Entry Fee. Junior Get-of-Sire: Group will consist of three Junior Does, the get of one sire named on the entry form. Each exhibitor may show more than one group provided each group is sired by a different sire. Senior Get-of-Sire: Group will consist of three Senior Does, at least two in milk, the get of one sire named on the entry form. Each exhibitor may show more than one group provided each group is sired by a different sire. Breeders Best Three Junior Females: Group will consist of three Junior Does, all bred by and at least one owned by the exhibitor. The owner of the does at the time of service is considered the breeder and named on the registration certificate. Each exhibitor is limited to one entry. Breeders Best Three Senior Females: Group will consist of three Senior Does, all bred by and at least one owned by the exhibitor. The owner of the does at the time of service is considered the breeder and named on the registration certificate. Each exhibitor is limited to one entry. Dairy Herd: Group will consist of four does in milk all owned by the exhibitor. Each exhibitor is limited to one entry.

Entries must be submitted to Libby George on the Dairy Goat Obstacle Course entry form, which can be picked up at the Livestock Office, and paid in full by 4:00 pm the day of the show. Payment for entry must be made in cash. DO NOT ENTER THIS SHOW AT THE LIVESTOCK OFFICE. 2. Competition is open to Youth and Open Dairy Goats. Classes will be by age of exhibitor 3. All goats must have a health certificate issued within seven (7) days of arrival to enter the Colorado State Fairgrounds. 4. Goats must be at least 9 months old or older no kids. 5. 7 SPECIAL AWARDS FOR INDIVIDUAL COSTUMES: Special gifts and awards to be given and donors announced at the time of show. PROFESSIONAL QUICK DRAW DAIRY GOAT MILKING CONTEST Show: Sunday, September 2 7:00 p.m. DIVISION 12 DEPARTMENT To be eligible to compete in this professional goat milking contest, animals must be properly entered in the Open Dairy Goat Show. 2. No entry fee is required; however, pre-entry must be made at the Show ring at time of show. Each contestant is limited to one (1) goat. 3. Each contestant may appoint one assistant to hold the doe and control her movement but they may not assist with milking in any way. Feed pan, milking stand, milk bucket, grain, and milk stool (if desired) must be provided by the contestant. 4. This Quick-Draw Contest is a one and one half minutes (1 1/2 minutes) timed competition with the most milk produced determining the winners. 5. Show officials reserve the right to split the contest into two or more heats depending on numbers entered and disqualify any contestant with an unruly doe or for abusing the goat in any way. All decisions of show officials affecting any aspect of the contest will be final. 6. The Colorado State Fair will award special ribbons through 4th place.
