2 Coldwater Heritage Partnership To provide leadership, coordination, technical assistance, and funding support for the conservation and protection Pennsylvania s coldwater streams and wild trout populations. Coldwater Conservation Grants Education and Outreach Conservation Strategy
3 Coldwater Conservation Grants Small grant program for developing a coldwater conservation strategy Develop Coldwater Conservation plan that: Evaluates coldwater stream condition Identifies problems and concerns Outlines needed protective actions Builds local awareness and support for the conservation of coldwater streams
4 Coldwater Conservation Grants Grants are targeted towards watersheds that: Are located along streams that contain naturally reproducing trout populations or have the potential to contain naturally reproducing trout populations; Are listed as special protection waters within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; The stream section is generally open to the public or indicates public utilization of the stream segment; Show significant use of partnerships, describing how organizations will cooperate to develop and implement the plan; and, A local organization takes the lead in planning, rather than a consulting firm.
5 Budgets Scope of work ~ To administer and coordinate the Coldwater Heritage Partnerships Program by providing outreach, education, technical assistance and grant assistance to protect and enhance coldwater streams throughout the Commonwealth.
