4 Introduction 4 Every baseball season members of the MSBL struggle to find suitable practice and game fields, especially in the spring.

5 What Is the MSBL 5 The MSBL is: Men s Senior Baseball League (MSBL)/Men s Adult Baseball League (MABL) Northwest Arkansas (NWA)MSBL 2 -Leagues 18-25, and 25 and over Established in 1991

6 What is the American Legion 6 American Legion is: Largest Veterans organization chartered by Congress in 1919 committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship advocating patriotism and honor, continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans

13 NWAMSBL will: Renovate Scope of Work Resurface infield Seed and weed the outfield and grass areas Paint and repair dugouts Maintain Mow grass Rake or drag the field prior to games Lay chalk lines, batters boxes, and coaches boxes 13

14 Methodology: Grass Seed Outfield grass area is 60,000sqft Infield grass is 8,000sqft Total = 68,000sqft or 1.6acres (43,580sqft per acre) 6-8lbs per 1000sqft 8/68000 = 68lbs of seed needed for all grass areas 1 bag = 50lbs 14

15 Methodology 15 (A+B=C) (C x $92.80=D ) 1(infield)+ 8 (outfield) =9 total bags 9 x $92.80= $ We will save $ to plant new grass seed in the baseball field.

16 Methodology cont/baselines Starting from the point of home plate (not including black area) Home to First = 90 First to the CENTER of second base = Center of second base back corner of third base = 90 Then back to our original point on home plate = 90

18 Methodology: Resurfacing Infield infield will need aprox 11,550sqft of dirt assuming it will be a 1 thick. A legal truck is 20 tons, which covers approx. 16 yards. To resurface our infield we will need to cover 36 yards. 36/16=2.25 truck loads 20 tons x 2.25 truck loads= 45 tons Cost per truck of dirt = $ Savings of $

Mark Olson on behalf of Toro will donate sprinkler system for 2 fields. Hundreds of years of combined baseball knowledge

22 Costs 22 Costs involved: Time mostly.. Since most materials, labor, and equipment will be donated. Time, sweat, and some hard work is all Maintenance Every field is different based off of many different factors. Actual costs of seasonal maintenance will be discussed later.
