It was established due to realignment of the sub-sections. Warroad went to the east with Blackduck, Indus, Lake of the Woods-Baudette, Little Fork-Big Falls, Northome-Kelliher and Red Lake. Due to the MSHSL adopting the 3 class system for softball, the section lines were redrawn and the Far North Conference was recreated in 2001 after going a year without a conference. Warroad started the new conference with Bagley, Crookston and Roseau. 33 Sportsperson of the Year This award is presented to a significant supporter of the Warroad High School softball program Denny & Janet Fry 2001 Ron Storey continue to attend all games and make treats for the team even after their daughter graduated in 1998 Many hours preparing fields for play, runs scoreboard and was the individual who started and coaches the summer league for the girls 2002 Arne Thompson Volunteer coach since 2000, many hours yearly preparing fields for play, great sounding board for ideas and strategies, excellent rapport with the players, bus driver 2003 Darin Spenst/Pepsi Donation of Pepsi Products for away games and tournaments and helps with fundraising. Has forever gone above and beyond the call of her duties to help all extra-curricular programs run smoothly. Countless hours spent behind the scenes. A very thankless job at times, but has always done her best trying take some of the stress away from coaches Dale Wallace For the last 13 years has been a relentless volunteer to help with field maintenance and has run the grill. Dale has taken care of their children so Carrie could coach all the seasons that she has and made certain the kids had the opportunity to watch their mom coach. A real sports fan. 33

34 Sportsperson of the Year This award is presented to a significant supporter of the Warroad High School softball program Tracy Pieper Tracy stepped in to coach our Junior High team in 2005 and This season she coordinated our concessions by taking care of the food and lining up the workers Marilyn Senkyr (Morgan Pieper s Grandma). Homemade cookies for years at all of our games. Attended many games when she could and cheered loud for all the players. Probable reason for the decline in stolen bases last 2-3 years Dick & Carol Merriman Dick s efforts in helping work on the fields to make them playable, working with Meghan in the off-season to improve her pitching, and being the grill master at home games. Carol has been organizing our concessions for home games and became a last minute driver for us this season Steve Bengtson 2011 Tim Kuehn Very supportive as Athletic Director and helped the coaches/program immensely by hiring out the field maintenance. Volunteer coach this season for the C-squad. Tim has been a volunteer summer coach for WhiteKaps for several years. He has made the gym available for his daughter and others to improve their softball skills through the winter. After all this, Tim continues to ask, What else can I do to help you and the program? 2012 Tim Kuehn Tim again volunteered his time to coach at the junior varsity level. Very supportive and eager to help in whatever roll requested KQ 92 & Jon Michael 2016 Tim Kuehn Radio station airs 6-8 of our home games a season.
