Report Purpose 1.1. Report on proposed meeting dates of the GCRB board and committees for the period Recommendations 2.1. The Board is invited to agree the Calendar of Future Board and Committee Meetings attached to this report. 3. Background 3.1. The GCRB Board and Committee meeting schedule is set to the end of the 2016 calendar year and GCRB therefore GCRB members require to agree dates for Calendar of Future Board and Committee Meetings 4.1. The GCRB Board is currently scheduled to meet five times per academic year with the final meeting due to be held in April. To enable GCRB Board meetings to be spread mode fully across the academic year and to align more closely to assigned college Board dates, the attached schedule of Board and Committee dates suggests that the GCRB Board meets in early September, late October, December, February and late May In line with this, the attached schedule proposes Committees meet prior to GCRB Board meetings, with the first Committee meetings taking place in September. 5. Risk, legal financial and Regional Outcome Agreement implications 5.1. The attached schedule seeks to set out a calendar of Board and Committee meeting dates which ensures that GCRB has the capacity to fulfil the governance requirements of the Board and which meet the expectations of the Scottish Funding Council, Scottish Government and other relevant stakeholders.
