4 WELCOME Emilio Martínez Promoter is proud to announce the first edition of the Ben Weider WWC Spain - Alicante The 2018 IFBB Professional League Alicante Pro will take place the same weekend as the IFBB Professional Pro Qualifier, Ben Weider Worldwide Classic Spain on October Ben Weider WWC Spain is considered one of the most important event of Fitness and Bodybuilding in Europe. Beside traditional men s bodybuilding, our amateur version will also include men s classic bodybuilding, men s physique as well as Figure, women s physique, women s bodybuilding, Fitness and bikini and now 15 Novice new categories full spectrum of the spectacular physique sports performed in the amateur nowadays. This time, the 2018 Ben Weider WWC Spain will be held in Alicante It will be an amazing weekend, where the best athletes will meet with the aim to achieve the such desired professional card awarded by the IFBB PRO LEAGUE. This Pro Qualifier Contest will be open to ALL amateur athletes worldwide regardless of their federation affiliations. The only contests the IFBB Professional League will recognize for Professional Status are the Pro Qualifiers associated with the IFBB Professional League; no other contests will be acknowledged. The IFBB Pro League Pro Qualifiers are the ONLY way to compete on the IFBB Professional League stage, including the OLYMPIA. Alicante, or Alacant, both the Spanish and Valencian being official names, is a city and port in Spain on the Costa Blanca, the capital of the province of Alicante and of the comarca of Alacantí, in the south of the Valencian Community. It is also a historic Mediterranean port. The population of the city of Alicante proper was 330,525, estimated as of 2016, ranking as the second-largest Valencian city. Including nearby municipalities, the Alicante conurbation had 452,462 residents. The latter was the subject of bitter controversy in as residents battled, successfully, to keep it from being changed into an industrial estate.the Santa Bárbara castle is situated on Mount Benacantil, overlooking the city. The tower (La Torreta) at the top, is the oldest part of the castle, while part of the lowest zone and the walls were constructed later in the 18 th century. The promenade Explanada de España, lined by palm trees, is paved with 6.5 million marble floor tiles creating a wavy form and is one of the most lovely promenades in Spain. 10 PARTICIPATION Ben Weider WWC - Alicante REGISTRATION The Official Athlete Registration will be conducted on Friday, October 19 th, 2018 in Expo IFA. This Competition is open to all athletes and federations worldwide. Ben Weider WWC is an open contest. The number of athletes to participate is unlimited. Friday, October 19 th, :00 am - 14:00 pm 15:00 am pm Remember that all athletes will have to produce their payment at the registration. IMPORTANT INFORMATION POSING MUSIC Presentation: PRO QUALIFIER CONTESTS do permit competitors to crossover into all classes. All posing music must be on an audio CD only. The posing music must also be at the start of the CD. Each competitor must affix his name on the CD for easy identification. 11 TANNING IMPORTANT INFORMATION The Open Contest has banned all tans that can be wiped off. An official will check the tan of all athletes backstage and if the tan comes off by simply wiping, the athlete will be told to remove the tan before going on stage. NEW CATEGORY REGISTRATION FEE The Ben Weider WWC Spain Registration Fee of EUR 200 (Euros) will have to be paid in advance online through at PAYPAL: Your coach can attend for a fee of 50. This fee can be paid through the Backstage Coach acces form. *Please make sure you include the name of the athlete in the NOTE FIELD. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Registrations payments made after October 01th 2018 or at the registration will be 250. This is special category for all competitors who have NOT won their class in any IFBB PRO Competition (IFBB Pro League Arnold Classic, IFBB Pro League Olympia amateur, IFBB Pro League Ben Weider Classic, IFBB Pro Qualifier). All competitors from other federations are admitted. The novice registration fee of 100 must be paid in advance through the link http.// In this category only those athletes who cross over with the Ben Weider WWC Pro qualifier (200 ) will be able to choose the pro card. 16 COMPETITORS RULES > MEN S BODYBUILDING Posing suits must be standard men s swimsuit with at least ½ rear coverage. Suits must meet acceptable standards of taste and decency. Thongs are prohibited. Posing suits must be one color. Fringe, wording, sparkle or fluorescents is prohibited. Competitors must not alter the fit of the posing suit by hiking it up in the back or by pulling up the sides during Front and Rear Lat Spreads. The following is prohibited while onstage: a. Props b. Chewing gum c. Moon Pose (any competitor performing this pose will be disqualified) d. Lying on the stage. e. Bumping and shoving (the first and second person involved will be disqualified). Competitor numbers must be worn on the left side of the posing suit during the Judging and Finals. MANDATORY POSES: a. Front Double Biceps b. Front Lat Spread c. Side Chest d. Back Double Biceps e. Back Lat Spread f. Side Triceps g. Abdominals and Thighs *Judges will score competitors according to the total package, which is a balance of size, symmetry and muscularity. 17 > MEN S CLASSIC PHYSIQUE Competitors are required to wear posing shorts (see image below). Board shorts or bodybuilding posing trunks are prohibited. Competitors are required to wear the same type of cut and all shorts that are worn in competition must be black. The Judging is scored 100% and will consist of comparisons of the quarter turns and the following 5 mandatory poses: MANDATORY POSES: a. Front Double Biceps b. Side Chest c. Back Double Biceps d. Abdominal and Thighs e. Favorite Classic Pose (No most muscular) Judges will score competitors according to the total package, which is a balance of size, symmetry and muscularity. 18 > MEN S PHYSIQUE ATTIRE 1. Competitors compete in Board Shorts. 2. The shorts must be above the knee in length and can be 1 below the belly button. ONSTAGE Competitor numbers must be worn on the left side of the shorts at all times while onstage. The Moon Pose is prohibited. Gymnastic moves are prohibited. MUSCULARITY AND BODY CONDITION Judges will be looking for fit competitors who display proper shape and symmetry combined with muscularity and overall condition. This is not a bodybuilding contest so extreme muscularity should be marked down. STAGE PRESENCE AND PERSONALITY Judges are looking for the competitor with the best stage presence and poise who can successfully convey his personality to the audience. 19 > WOMEN S BIKINI ATTIRE 1. Competitors compete in a two-piece suit. The bottom of the suit must be v-shaped. Thongs are prohibited. Competitors can compete in an off-the-rack suit. All suits must meet acceptable standards of taste and decency. 2. Competitors must wear high heels. 3. Competitors may wear jewelry. PRESENTATION Competitor numbers must be worn on the left side of the suit bottom at all times while onstage Each competitor, in numerical order, walks onstage and performs their Model Walk (personal preference). The Model Walk is described as follows: Walk to the center of the stage, stop and do a front stance, then a full turn and do a back stance, then turn to the front again and face the judges. Length of time allowed is 30 seconds. JUDGING AND SCORE The Presentation and Comparisons are scored 100% using the following criteria: 1. Balance and shape 2. 20 > WOMEN S PHYSIQUE 1. Competitors compete in a two-piece bikini. 2. The bikini bottom must be v-shaped. Thongs are prohibited. 3. The bikini must meet acceptable standards of taste and decency. 4. Competitors can compete in an off-the-rack bikini. 5. The bikini does not have to be solid in color Competitor numbers must be worn on the left side of the bikini bottom at all times while onstage. Competitors compete barefoot. The Moon Pose is prohibited. Lying on the stage is prohibited. Gymnastic moves are prohibited. MANDATORY POSES: a.front double biceps/open hands (no flat footed full front pose some sort of front twisting pose) b. Back double biceps/open hands c. Side triceps with leg extended d. 21 > WOMEN S FITNESS ATTIRE 1. Competitors may dress as they deem appropriate to perform their fitness routines, except that: a. Fitness routine attire must meet acceptable standards of taste and decency. b. Thongs are prohibited. 2. Athletic footwear may be worn at the discretion of the competitor. MUSIC 1. Routine music must be on a CD or USB stick. 2. Routine music must be the only music on the CD or USB stick. 3. Routine music must not contain vulgar lyrics. Competitors using music containing vulgar lyrics will be disqualified. The fitness routine is scored 100% based on the following criteria: > Strength The amount and types of strength moves. The degree of difficulty of these moves. The ease and correctness of the moves. > Flexibility The number and types of flexibility moves. The degree of difficulty of these moves. 22 > WOMEN S FIGURE ATTIRE 1. Competitors compete in a two-piece suit. The bottom of the suit must be v-shaped. Thongs are prohibited. Competitors can compete in an off-the-rack suit. All suits must meet acceptable standards of taste and decency. 2. Competitors must wear high heels. 3. Competitors may wear jewelry. PRESENTATION Each competitor, in numerical order, walks to the center of the stage and performs the quarter turns. Length of time allowed is 30 seconds. SCORING The Presentation and Comparisons are scored 100% using the following criteria: 1. Small degree of muscularity with separation, no visible striations 2. Overall muscle tone with shapely lines, overall firmness and not excessively lean 3. Full general assessment 4. Healthy appearance 5. 23 > WOMEN S BODYBUILDING ATTIRE 1. Posing suit bottoms must be V-shaped with at least ½ rear coverage. Suits must meet acceptable standards of taste and decency. Thongs are prohibited. 2. Posing suits may include a printed design with fringes, lace, sparkle or fluorescents. 3. Competitors must not alter the fit of the posing suit by hiking it up in the back or by pulling up the sides during Front and Rear Lat Spreads. MUSIC 1. Posing music must be on a CD or USB stick. 2. Posing music must be the only music on the CD or USB stick. 3. Posing music must not contain vulgar lyrics. Competitors using music containing vulgar lyrics will be disqualified. PRESENTATION 1. Each competitor proceeds to center-stage individually in numerical order and automatically performs the mandatory poses. No signal from the Head Judge is required. 2. Each competitor has a maximum of 60 seconds to perform the poses. A warning will be given when 10 seconds remain. 3. Competitors are not required to use the full 60 seconds. MANDATORY POSES: a. All other countries should consult the Spanish Embassy in their country to determine if they need a visa. All National Federations could ask for an Invitation letter either to the Championship Organizer or IFBB Professional League. The invitation letter does not mean you are granted your visa. IFBB Professional League and Championship organizer are not responsible of attendants visas.
