1 NEWSLETTER 7 28th March 2015 Hello to Everybody! Even if with some delay, I would like to introduce you the ORGANIZING COMMITTEE of and the staff that is working in the backstage in order to ensure an unforgettable event.! The Association and the Founders Amateur Sports Association M AL CUBO M al cubo is a no-profit Association engaged in sports and cultural activities as well as entertainment. Its main goal is to promote amateur sports (in particular the once linked to circus arts and unicycle), to organize events, races, conventions, to build up sports teams that take part to championships and competitions, to manage gyms and sports facilities, to promote new methods of sport practice, to organize entertainment and cultural activities. The Association was found in January 2015 and is made up of three founding Members: Cecilia Di Marco (President), Marco Donda (Secretary), Marco Vitale (Treasurer). M al Cubo is the Organizing Body of UNIOEC President CECILIA DI MARCO (Fossano, 1961) With a degree in literary subjects Di Marco is high school teacher. She covered the position of Vice President for about 10 years and now is coordinating, in the same Institute, all activities linked to theatre and movie. Very fond of everything related to circus, especially juggling, in 2007 Di Marco gives start to the International Festival of Circus and Urban Theatre Mirabiglia in Fossano. Here she covers the position of Organizing Director up to Her love for all circus activities leads her to the unicycle sport. She takes part to several events and in 2013 helps in the organization of the European Trial Championship in Cuneo (UTEC 2013) together with Marco Vitale (A.I.M.) and Marco Donda (founder of the Sporting Unicycle School S.M.S.). 1 UNIOEC s backstage: the Association, the Organizing Committee, the Collaborations

2 Secretary MARCO DONDA (Torino, 1966) He works since approx. 20 years with young people, promoting educational school and extra-school programs focused on entertainment, management of body expression and development of creativity in children and teenagers. Donda has founded the playful farm, where teaching becomes practice. As entertainment promoter Donda gives life to the Project LUDOBUS and CIRCOBUS, that he brings also abroad such as Cuba and Cape Verde and in 2008 he founds the Childhood School of Circus Macramé. In these years Donda approaches unicycle, he believes in this sport and gives start to a sporting unicycle school; after few years he builds up the Macramé Unicycle Team that takes part to the World Championship UNICON 17 in Montreal. Since 2012 he is Member of the Steering Committee of the Italian Unicycle Association (A.I.M.) and helps actively in the organization of the Muni Italian Championship (2012, 2013, 2014) as well as the Freestyle Italian Championship (2013, 2014). In 2013 Donda organizes the first European Trial Championship (UTEC 2013) with Marco Vitale (A.I.M.) and Cecilia Di Marco. Treasurer MARCO VITALE (Milano, 1955) He has been a sportsman since early age, starting with sailing, his first love. In the 70 s he is one of the first professional skippers in Italy. He takes part to National and International races and becomes Member of the sailmaker North Sails Italy. He progressively leaves the sea and approaches the gliding, he becomes sporting instructor at the Gliding Club in Varese. Between 1990 and 2003 Vitale takes part to international gliding races and in 1996 he becomes National Pilot. At the beginning of 2000 he approaches the two wheels world, he becomes MTB teacher and joins the Italian Association of MTB instructors; holds training courses for beginners and experts. In the last yeas Vitale discovers the unicycle. He immediately understands the value of this tool as regards education, sport and entertainment. With a group of unicycle fans, in 2007 he gives start to the Italian Unicycle Association (A.I.M.) and covers the position of President in the period Vitale develops and promotes events and championships in Italy; in 2013 he organizes the First European Trial Championship in Cuneo (UTEC 2013) with Marco Donda (founder of the Sporting Unicycle School S.M.S.) and Cecilia Di Marco. 3 The local authorities that are working with us The Municipality of Mondovì The Mayor, the Councilor for Sports, the Councilor for Tourism & Events and the entire City Administration are cooperating with great enthusiasm for the success of the Event. 10 Who will time our races the Italian Federation of Timekeepers (F.I.Cr.) has been recognized by the Olympic Italian National Committee (CONI). In the context of this recognition, the F.I.Cr. is the only Federation that is entitled to regulate, control and organize the timing and the data management in sports events that take place in Italy. The F.I.Cr. has been recognized also by the Paraolympic Italian Committee (CIP) according to art. 20 of the CIP s Statute, that the F.I.Cr fully applies as regards those guide lines and basic principles, that have been accepted by the National Council on June 18, The F.I.Cr. will manage and organize at UNIOEC 2015 the chronometric data from a technical point of view, ensuring correctness and application of the rules as regards all timed races, individual or in team, and will draw up the relative rankings.
