3 Welcome From Brett Walker - WASCTP President Thank you for attending the Washington State Scholastic Clay Target Program State Championship. This will be the program s second season and we have seen dramatic growth in the number of teams, the number of participants and funding. The event is all about meeting and making new friends, trying new events, learning from others, and having a good time! This goes for the coaches and parents as well as the athletes. The event will be a great success no matter how many targets are broken. Thank you to all the parents, coaches, gun clubs, sponsors, volunteers, and especially the athletes. 4 SST Welcome Welcome everyone! SST is pleased to host the 2012 WASCTP Championships. An important part of our clubs mission is promoting the shooting sports and teaching the importance of good sportsmanship while competing to our up and coming shooters. You are the future of this sport and we appreciate the opportunity to share our facility with all of you. Special thanks to Mike Musga, an SST Board member, for coordinating with the WASCTP board to bring this event to our club. Our volunteers have worked hard to present you with some fun and challenging shooting of Skeet, Trap, and Sporting Clays over three days. We hope you all enjoy yourselves and thank you for coming! 5 WASCTP Information & Endowments To join please visit June 22-24, 2012 Seattle Skeet & Trap Club nd Ave SE #3 Ravensdale, WA Club Phone (425) National Governing Body (NGB) rules will be in effect. All squads and individuals registrations for the state championship must be received at the WASCTP office no later than May 15th, WASCTP welcomes any 4-H team, FFA team, Scout team, individual club/ team and individuals may join SCTP. A team is one head coach and one or more shooters To qualify for endowments a team must have at least one shooter in high school. State Championship Participation Endowment Funding SSSF / SCTP will contribute $1,500 into the endowment account of every team attending WASCTP State Championships. A team must have a head coach and a minimum of 1 shooter from a high school to qualify. If a team has multiple high schools, the deposit will be made into their team account of choice. Increased $500 over 2011 In Addition The Washington Scholastic Clay Target Program Association (WASCTP) will contribute $3,000 into the endowment trust account of every new WA SCTP team and every team attending the WASCTP State Championships. A team must have a head coach and a minimum of 1 shooter from a high school to qualify. If a team has multiple high schools, the deposit will be made into their team account of choice. In Addition State Championship High Over All (HOA) Endowment Trust Funding SSSF/SCTP will contribute to the over all winning team which competes in all three American games (Skeet, Sporting Clays, and Trap), an additional $5,000 into the teams endowment account. The team must have at least one qualifying high school. If there is more than one qualifying high school the deposit will be made into the team s account of choice. Second place over all team will receive a $3,000 contribution and third place will receive a $2,000 contribution. 5

All other targets are registered and athletes must be members of either the NSSA or NSCA. All state association fees have been waived by state associations. Other NGB fees are included Skeet rounds will be limited to 1 hr and 45 min Trap rounds will be limited to 40 min Sporting Clays will be set to 1 hr and 45 min Make sure you have all 100 rounds with you plus some extra. 9

Mindful,,Understanding, Legal, Ethical Youth The M.U.L.E.Y.. program was created by the Mule Deer Foundation on to act as a gateway program to introduce, instruct and inspire youth to participate te in the shooting sports and wildlife conservation. LIKE US ON FACEBOOK The Mule Deer Foundation s goals center on restoring, improving and protecting mule deer and black-tailed deer habitat, which result in self-sustaining, healthy, free-ranging, and huntable deer populations. MDF achieves its goals through partnering with state and federal wildlife agencies, conservation groups, businesses and individuals to fund and implement habitat enhancement projects on both public and private lands. 13

No bump ups allowed from a lower Division/Category, i.e. Senior Varsity, etc. Where there are no College squads, there will be Collegiate Individual awards provided. 14
