Crimson Heat All Stars, Inc. is a faith-based, nonprofit organization established to provide wholesome fun and character building experiences for young people in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Our goals are to promote physical fitness, social development, self-discipline, leadership and academic excellence through the provision of competitive athletic experiences. We work hard to ensure that each participant achieves their personal best within an environment that is fun, safe, nurturing, structured and supervised by highly trained and qualified staff. We embrace the philosophy that ALL children are STARS and with the right amount of love, support and guidance, each of them will shine. Our Christ-centered focus coupled with our family environment creates an atmosphere that builds self-esteem and encourages personal excellence and selfdiscipline. We take pride in our ability to teach and train athletes from all AGE and SKILL levels. Our staff combined has over 100 years of cheerleading and dance experience. In addition, our staff is trained in all aspects of cheer and dance technique. Our services are NOT targeted for a specific ethnic, social, economic or religious group of people. Members are accepted through an annual registration process. We welcome you to our program and we hope that you enjoy the HEAT experience. Page 2

This is the ideal program for families who have athletes that are new to cheer, new to All Star, or have a limited budget for recreation. As a part of our All Star Prep Program, we offer: 2.

It is designed to ease the transition from school and recreational cheer into our All Star Program. This is the ideal program for families who have athletes that are new to cheer, new to All Star, or have a limited budget for recreation. As a part of our All Star Prep Program, we offer: 2.5 hours, 1-Day Per week instruction which focuses primarily on fundamentals of cheer (Please note that additional practices can/will be added to ensure competition readiness); Standard Program Uniform; Accessory Package (Practice wear, shoes, warm-up, bow and bag); Competition Music; 3-4 one-day competitions; and Opportunity to compete for Bids to U.S. Finals. All Star Program Our All Star Program is our Premium All Star experience. The athletes in this program have the opportunity to compete in the most prestigious and highly competitive events in the country. As a part of our All Star Program, we offer: 5 Hours of Weekly Instruction, 2-Days per week (please note that additional practices can/will be added to ensure competition readiness); Elite Program Uniform; Accessory Package (Practice Wear, Shoes, warm-up, bow, make-up, and bag); Industry s Best routine choreography; Premium customized music mixes; 6-8 Competitions (most being 2-day Nationals) ; and Opportunity to compete for a bid to the SUMMIT and the World Cheerleading Championships. Our Cheer Programs accept children from 4 to 18 years of age. Our Dance Program accepts children from 6-18 years of age. Page 3

Athletes participating in this program will perform in parades, community events, and local competitions. As a part of our Majorette Dance Program, we offer: 2.5 Hours, 1-Day per week instructions, which focuses primarily on fundamentals of dance; 2 performance costumes; Performance Music; Dance Accessory Package (shoes, dance bag, program warm-up); and 2-3 local competitions. All Star Dance Our All Star Dance Program is our competitive dance program. Athletes in our All Star Dance Program, travel across the country to compete in some of the most prestigious dance competitions in the industry. As a part of our All Star Dance Program, we offer all of the things that the Majorette Dance Program offers, plus: 5 hours of dance instruction, 2-Days per week; Competition Team Costume; Competition Routine Choreography and Music; 4-6 Dance Competitions; and The opportunity to compete for a bid to attend the Dance Summit and Dance World Championships. Crossover Program For those athletes who want to experience both the Cheer and Dance Programs; or for those athletes who enjoy competing on multiple teams, we also off the Crossover Program. Through the crossover program, athletes will be allowed to participate in multiple programs for a special tuition rate. For more details on the crossover program, please talk to one of our representatives during our membership registration clinic. Page 4

5 Crimson Heat All Stars, Inc Membership Registration Packet HOW TO REGISTER FOR OUR PROGRAMS Our membership registration process is as simple as 1-2-3! Interested members should 1. Complete the necessary membership registration forms, waivers and financial agreements; 2. Pay the non-refundable $30.00 membership registration fee (must be paid in cash); and 3. Participate in one of our mandatory membership orientations and skill evaluation clinics. Registration Forms and Fee Payment To complete the registration forms, please visit our website and select Registration, then General Registration from the main menu. Select the blue Create Account button, then follow the steps to create your account. Once you have entered your basic household information, the system will provide you with a list of waivers and financial agreements to sign. You will also be able to select the program that you would like to enroll in. At the end of the process, the system will prompt for electronic registration fee payment. We are more than happy to assist you with this process on Registration Day in the gym. Membership Orientation During our membership orientation, members of our staff will provide athletes and their parents with a general overview of our program, a high-level schedule for our Season, and provide a walk-through of our fees and payment schedule. 6 Crimson Heat All Stars, Inc Membership Registration Information Brochure Once we have completed the orientation, our staff will conduct a skills clinic with the athletes. The athletes will be taught an age/skill appropriate dance and they will be coached on tumbling, jumps and basic stunting technique. The staff will conduct a review of the material then divide the candidates into small groups based upon age and skill level. Each group will be evaluated on the clinic material, then each participant s jump and tumbling skills will be individually assessed. Our skills assessment is completed to determine how the candidate s current skills align with the United States All Star Spirit Federation (USASF) Level Grid. The candidates skills are assigned to 1 of 5 skill levels (based upon mastery of the skills). See below for a brief description of the skills required for each cheer level: Table 1: Skill Level Requirements Jumps Standing Tumbling Running Tumbling Level 1 Jump combination with pause to back walkover Cartwheel, Round-off, Front Walkover, Back Walkover Cartwheels, Round-off, Front Walkover, Back Walkover Level 2 Jump combination with pause to back-handspring Back-Handspring, T-jump back-handspring, Front walk-over through to series back-handsprings and handspring step-outs Level 3 Jump combination connected to series backhandsprings Standing Handspring series; handspring re-bound to handspring tuck. Round-off back-handspring tuck; front walk-over to round-off back-handspring tuck; Level 4 Jump combination connected to handspring tuck/layout Back-handspring layout/layout step-out Round-off back-handspring layout/layout step-out; Punch front through to layout/layout step-out Level 5 Jump combination connected to an immediate tuck/standing full Standing full, Handspring full, handspring double, handspring whip double Arabian through to double full; full through to double full; whips through to double full Athletes will be evaluated based upon their ability to deliver the skills unassisted without the need for assistance or a spotter. At the end of the process, our staff will provide each participant with a team assignment letter and a tentative summer practice schedule. All children who participate in our member registration process will be placed on a summer provisional team with other athletes who have similar skill, age/maturity level and experience. This will be the team that the athlete will train on during the summer in our mandatory skills development camp. Page 6

8 Crimson Heat All Stars, Inc Membership Registration Information Brochure ABOUT OUR FEES AND PAYMENT SCHEDULES This information provides a summary of the primary financial responsibilities our members and their parents can expect to pay during the course of our Season. This list is NOT intended to be final but rather an overview/summary of the anticipated costs. Amounts given are estimates only and are subject to change once the registration process is completed and enrollment numbers are finalized. Please see below for a description of the anticipated Fees. Instructional Fee Apparel & Accessories Competition Fees, Choreography & Music All Star Prep $110 $50 $50 All Star $220 $100 $100 Majorette Dance $50 $25 $25 All Star Dance $110 $50 $50 *Fees shown are monthly averages. Level 5 athletes will pay a slightly higher tuition plan. The Official Fees and Payment Schedule will be included in the program handbook that will be distributed at the Season Kickoff Cookout. All of our tuition fees must be paid upfront or via automatic debit on a monthly basis. Members who do not pay in full upfront are required to put a credit card on file for the gym to debit monthly. Payments are typically spread across a 10 to 12 month payment grid. Regardless of enrollment date, families will be responsible for the FULL TUITION Schedule and will be required to pay the arrears on the date of start. Given this, family are strongly discouraged from waiting until after the summer to join. Gymnastics Instruction is an additional $45.00 per month. Enrollment is mandatory and automatic with membership enrollment. Instruction will occur once a week for one hour during one of the cheer practices. Page 8
