4 Competition Regulations Inclusion of Shane Watson (Under-16) Competition, starting 15 th October. Also invited Darling Downs SWQ and Wide Bay Cricket to compete (Regulation 1, 3 and throughout) Incorporated the Helmet Policy Regulation which was approved after the start of last season into the Player s Dress rule (Regulation 11) Adopted the new Cricket Australia youth bowling guidelines (Regulation 12) - More overs in the day for younger age group, but Under -19 spell length has come back 1 over Age Under 18 & 19 Under 16 & 17 Under 14 & 15 Restriction Seven (7) overs maximum each spell Twenty (20) overs maximum per day Six (6) overs maximum each spell Sixteen (16) overs maximum per day Five (5) overs maximum each spell Twelve (12) overs maximum per day Minimum break between spells Two Day One Day Match Match 60 mins 30 mins 60 mins 30 mins 60 mins 30 mins

5 Competition Regulations (cont.) One Day match points in lower grades have been amended so that two wins equals a two-day first innings victory (Regulation 14) Men s Second Grade to play Limited Overs competition in the same fashion as First Grade (Regulation 14) No separate Jodie Fields Shield T20 final, with it being a combined competition like before last season Updates made to Semi-Final eligibility for Men s Second Grade T20 and One-Day finals, due to changes in when these are played (Regulation 22) Katherine Raymont Shield One-Day competition will have a 2 nd v 3 rd place semi-final (Regulation 23) Men s First and Second Grade won t have T20 semi-finals but go straight to a 1 st v 2 nd Final. Note: The KFC T20 State Challenge won t be happening this season (Regulation 24)

6 General Playing Conditions 2.7 Fitness for Play [B] edited the opening phrase, so that it mirrors the language in Clause A Following the period prescribed for play (used to be commencement of play) on any scheduled match day if the umpires consider the wicket, ground or weather conditions unsafe to play, then play may be suspended until it is considered safe to play or the day s play is cancelled. 4 The Ball First Grade Men and Women using Kookaburra Turf. All other grades using Kookaburra exclusively 12.1 [B] Hours of Play Men s First and Second grade can finish at 2.40pm on Day 2 with the agreement of both captains 20 [A] Dead Ball Local playing condition making any ball lodged in the helmet of a keeper or fielder dead 20.4 [A] Umpire Calling Dead Ball added a local condition around the instance of a ball hitting powerlines hanging over a field (e.g Bill Pippen Oval). This ball will be called dead.

Ball Bouncing Over Head Height of Striker previous local conditions apply with the first call being a Wide, rather than a No-Ball 24.1 [A] Substitute Fielders wicketkeepers can be replaced in Premier Cricket, however only due to injury or illness caused during the match 41.5 Deliberate Distraction, Deception or Obstruction of Batsman (Mock Fielding) local condition to provide a first and final warning in lieu of awarding the 5 run penalty. All other procedures of the law apply on the first instance however Non-Striker Leaving His/Her Ground Early Premier Cricket has maintained a first and final warning to the non-striker s team 42 Players Conduct QLD Premier Cricket hasn t adopted Law 42 and will stick with QLD Cricket s Code of Behaviour

8 One Day Playing Conditions 12.1 [A] Hours of Play 9.30AM start for One-Day matches in September (First, Second and Tavs only) [B] Length of Innings/Interval added wording to allow for minimum of 10-minute interval in case side is more than 20 minutes late in completing first innings 16.2 Delayed or Interrupted Matches Calculation of Target Scores - No more Target Score Tables. - Men s and Women s First Grade use Duckworth-Lewis-Stern on computers. - All other one-day and T20 matches will use the Duckworth/Lewis calculator app on MyCricket Live Score. The match doesn t need to be live scored to use the calculator

9 Twenty20 & Jodie Fields Shield Conditions 28 [C] Fielding Restrictions Women s First Grade T20 matches to only have four fielders outside the circle after the first 6 overs. Aligns with WBBL rules This has also been updated in the Jodie Fields Shield rules, to only allow four fielders outside the circle after the initial overs in both T20 and One Day matches.
