2 The Student Academy is a full-time programme which is endorsed by the Unlimited Titans Franchise and is identified as an official feeder system to the franchise. The students attending the TuksCricket Academy daily are involved in various activities ranging from cricket specific training to gym/conditioning sessions and including psychology or nutrition lectures. The Student Academy aims to provide a stepping stone to the Tuks Elite Squad and from thereto the senior amateur and franchise cricket through the implementation of a holistic cricket skills development programme. TuksCricket Academy provides the following professional services: Personal cricket-specific strength and conditioning programmes. Sport scientific testing. Psychology sessions from certified on-site psychologists. Access to a qualified dietician. Access to first-class physiotherapists and rehabilitation centres. World-class gym and injury rehab centre. World-class cricket training facilities.

4 Use of cutting-edge analysis technology. Potential matches against touring international teams and counties. Access to various guest speakers. Exclusive use of the CSA Indoor Centre of Excellence Coaching philosophy Tuks philosophy is to provide an environment of excellence for young cricketers to optimize their potential. The ultimate benefit of the academy programme will be a coaching philosophy that: Is unique and distinguishable from standard coaching practice. Acknowledges that any physical performance consists of a physical, mental, tactical and technical component and aims to improve and maximize the individual in each of these areas. Acknowledges that high performance training is based on individual attention. Will provide for young cricketers to develop their talents without being lost in a team set-up where individual attention is limited or non-existent. Hall of fame Over the past couple of years the academy has produced a number of players who have gone on to play for higher honours: Marchant De Lange (Unlimited Titans & South Africa) Graeme van Buuren & Eden Links (Unlimited Titans) Aiden Markram & Corbin Bosch (SA U/ World Cup Winning Team) Just to mention a few players that have come through the academy system. The long-term goal of the programmes is to provide candidates with the knowledge and understanding of the importance of life skills which provide the necessary foundation needed to further their cricketing aspirations. They are, however, committed to the process which is developing individual talent through exposure to a programme that is both unique and visionary. Tuks, as a cricket institution, continues to be a market leader and with the phenominal success over past few years that the club has enjoyed under head coach Pierre De Bruyn the environment provides a perfect platform for young cricketers to improve their skills and is conducive to personal growth and enjoyment.
