1 The Skating Club of Northern Virginia Presents SCNV Future Champions Skating Seminar Sunday, April 6 8:30 am -12:00 pm at Prince William Ice Center 5180 Dale Blvd, Woodbridge, VA With Special Guest Coaches: Audrey Weisiger Rebecca Boyden Featuring on-ice and off-ice instruction by: Dana Chinn Jill Smith Kevin Curtis Sandy Sparger Skaters will receive 2 ½ hours of on-ice instruction and a 25 minute off-ice session. PLUS Parent Education sessions while your skater is on the ice. SCNV Skaters: $40 Non-SCNV Skaters: $60 Parents: FREE Space is limited, so REGISTER TODAY! Skaters should bring athletic shoes and a yoga mat or towel. Skaters need to wear skating dresses or skating pants, a fitted jacket, gloves, and hair should be up in a ponytail or bun.

2 Seminar Faculty Audrey Weisiger is a two-time Olympic Team Coach and the 1999 PSA and USFSA Coach of the Year. She has a PSA World Coach ranking and Master rating in Figures and Freestyle. Audrey has coached at Fairfax Ice Arena since Audrey also organizes and directs Grassroots to Champions Seminars. Rebecca Boyden has 20 years of competitive coaching experience. She has coached singles free-skating medalists at Junior Nationals, Regionals, Virginia State Games, National State Games of America and ISI World Championships. She is also a skating skills coach to junior league and NCAA hockey players. Dana Chinn started skating when she was 5 and trained at Fairfax Ice Arena. She is a USFSA gold medalist in Freestyle and a 1990 Junior National Collegiate Champion. She is a two-time regional and sectional medalist and had coached regional and sectional skaters. Kevin Curtis is a USFSA gold medalist in moves and freestyle and has been a featured performer for the Ice Theater of New York and the Diamond Ensemble/Theater on Ice. In addition to competing at the Regional, Sectional and National level in freestyle, Kevin competed at the Sectional level in pairs. He has taught Regional, Sectional and Junior National level competitors. Kevin is a PSA Master Rated coach. Jill Smith started skating at Fairfax when she was 5 years old and has been coaching for 8 years. She is a USFSA double gold medalist in freestyle and moves in the field. She competed at Sychronized Skating Nationals at the novice level in 1996 and at South Atlantics Regionals as a Senior in She is a PSA senior rated MIF coach. Sandy Sparger trained as a skater at Fairfax Ice Arena and Lake Placid, NY. You can find Sandy s picture on the Wall of Fame in the lobby she was a U.S.F.S.A. Gold Medalist in Figures and Freestyle and a South Atlantic Senior Medalist. Sandy is a member of the Professional Skaters Association, an organization dedicated to the education and training of figure skating coaches and is the official accreditation program for U.S.F.S.A. and I.S.I. Sandy specializes in working with skaters on Moves in the Field. Sheila Hautbois, MPH, CHES is a Certified Health Education Specialist with a Masters in Public Health: Health Education & Promotion. She is a health speaker and writer, provider of corporate health screenings, and personal health coach for Inova Health System ( Gavin Cribb PT, DPT graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Biology from Marymount University. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Marymount University in

3 2006. He has spent his entire career working in outpatient orthopedics with an interest in sports medicine. Gavin has taken numerous continuing education courses for the spine, shoulder, knee, foot, and ankle. He has also completed all three kinesiotaping courses from the Kinesio Taping Association.

5 TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Registration fee must be paid in full at the time of registration. Registration is non-refundable. There is a $25 returned check fee for payment returned for any reason. As a condition of enrollment, the student (if 18 years of age or older) or parent/guardian agrees to indemnify, release and hold harmless the Skating Club of Northern Virginia, for any injury the skater and/or parent/guardian might receive on the premises, and further agrees that this shall be a complete bar to any claim for personal injury. This contract is entire and not divisible and represents the entire agreement between the parties. The student or parent/guardian assumes responsibility for the full amount of the registration fee set forth herein.
