St. Peter s, Wexford Exact details will be forwarded to all the above teams in early September but please take note of the following; - The 19 School teams will be drawn in five groups of 3 and one group of 4. - The groups will be drawn as part of our Championship Launch in early October. Similar to last year, each team will have one home and one away game (pending distances). - Dates for the group games are; Wed Nov 14th Wed Nov 21st Wed Nov 28th - 2 teams from each group will advance to Knockout Rd.1 - Knockout Rd.1 will be an open draw - Group Winners in one pot and Group Runners-Up in the other pot. Repeat pairings will be avoided. - Home Venues (pending distance) for the Group Winners. - 6 winners of Knockout Rd.1, along with 2 Group Teams will advance to make up the Quarter-Finals. - Knockout dates are; Rd. 1 Sat., 19th Jan. Quarter Final Sat., 16th Feb. Semi Final Sat., 2nd March Final Sat., 16th March The following Group Teams have also entered; 1. Drogheda Schools 2. Dundalk Schools 3. Louth Schools 4. 18 Top Oil First Year Competitions 2018/2019 FOOTBALL & HURLING 13-a-side / 15-a-side Comhairle Iarbhunscoileanna Laighean will be in touch with all schools in September to confirm their participation or otherwise in our first year Hurling & Football competitions. Fixtures, formats and dates are all subject to confirmation, pending entries, but the competitions will be ran similar to our Juvenile Hurling and Football. The Leinster, North and South Leinster Juvenile Hurling and Football competition will have priority over the first year competitions, should a clash occur.
