2 NSWCHS PUMA Football Cup & Trophy The PUMA Cup for boys The PUMA Trophy for girls The Annual Knockout Football Competitions for New South Wales State High Schools RESULTS Results must be telephoned and/or ed, by the winning school, to either the State KO Convener or to the respective Regional Convener, or the Sports High Co ordinator as indicated on the draw, immediately following the match. A written confirmation is to be forwarded within three school days. Failure to notify results may lead to the disqualification of the winning school. Your co operation is also sought in despatching the MEDIA/INTERNET REPORT to the Media Officer within TWO school days (Team photographs as jpg. attachments can also be forwarded). These will be publicised on the NSW Schools Football website. BOYS AND GIRLS FINAL SERIES DRAW 1. The draw for the Final Series will be conducted as a separate Statewide Regional Comprehensive High Schools Competition and Sports High School Competition with boys and girls divisions. 2. The 2016 PUMA Sports High School Football Competition will be played as a round robin & with a final for the 1 st & 2 nd positions, as indicated below: Please note the first mentioned team is the home team in all rounds. All other knockout home and away rules apply. Sports High School play by dates may vary to the PUMA Comprehensive High School schedule and played as gala days with each Sports High School hosting a round of competition BOYS and GIRLS Sports High Schools DRAW: (i) Kick Off Times: Girls 10.00am Boys 11.30am (ii) The Home Team is the first mentioned team in the draw. 4 BOYS and GIRLS Comprehensive High Schools DRAW: In 2016 the Comprehensive PUMA Football Cup & State Trophy Final series will be composed as follows (excluding Sports High Schools division): Hunter 2 teams Sydney South West 2 teams Sydney East 2 teams Sydney West 2 teams Sydney North 2 teams South Coast 2 teams North Coast 1 team North West 1 team Riverina 1 team Western 1 team 4. Dates for the completion of rounds: Round 1 to be played by 18 March Round 2 to be played by 1 April Round 3 to be played by 6 May Round 4 to be played by 20 May Round 5 to be played by 10 June NOTIFICATION DATE FOR FINAL SERIES (Regional Winners) to the KO Convener: Must be no later than 14 June (excluding the Sports High School division) The NSWCHS PUMA Football Finals Series (KO times TBC for Semi Finals & Finals): Round 6 The Round of 16 must be played by 1 July Round 7 Quarter Finals must be played by 29 July Round 8 Semi Finals & will be played on 17 August at the central venue ; Football NSW, Valentine Park, Glenwood For both Comprehensive Semi Final winners & Sports High Schools 1 st & 2 nd placegetters, The Finals will be played on 31 August at Football NSW, Valentine Park Play by dates must be strictly adhered to. Refer CHS Handbook Section 5.2 and notification to the CHS KO convener made no later than 14 June NOTE: In some Regions a number of rounds may be played on the one day eg: Western, North Coast and North West. 5. Schools should also note that Home and Away designations recommence in the first round of the Round of 16 finals series (Round 6 as above). 6. Please note interchange is permitted. 7. 9 Est NOTICE TO PRINCIPALS OF SCHOOLS IN FOOTBALL KNOCKOUT COMPETITIONS IT IS NSWCHSSA AND FOOTBALL NSW POLICY THAT ANY DISCIPLINARY ACTION, ARISING FROM COMBINED HIGH SCHOOLS MATCHES, AND THE SUBSEQUENT PENALTIES IMPOSED BY THE COMBINED HIGH SCHOOLS, WILL BE APPLICABLE AND ENFORCED IN ALL COMPETITIONS CONDUCTED BY FOOTBALL NSW. YOUR CO OPERATION IN FORWARDING THIS INFORMATION TO ALL STAFF AND STUDENTS WOULD BE APPRECIATED. Your co operation and assistance is also sought in ensuring that the Knockout Football matches at you school proceed in a proper manner with adequate supervision of spectators is also appreciated. May we also draw your attention to the Code of Behaviour for School Sport that has been distributed to all schools in NSW. Schools should be also aware that National Flags other than the Australian Flag as well as the letting off of flares are banned in Football Competitions conducted in Australia under Football NSW, FFA and FIFA Regulations. All school Football matches in NSW are conducted under these regulations. Appropriate supervision of students attending and representing schools should be paramount at all KO fixtures. GOALKEEPERS AND PENALTY SHOOTOUTS Schools should also be conversant with the rule regarding substitution of goalkeepers in the case of penalty shootouts.
